Re: Show us your mounted golden knob!

Mine arrived in, I think, August 2013 - and I was a little cheeky in that I was still registered as owning SS321 even though it had gone elsewhere by then. I knew I'd get another one day, so when it arrived I kept it safe, and then finally... got my replacement Voyager. In some ways I think it looks...

Re: Disable save preset with double click the master

Thankyou! All updated - now I need to sort the field upgrade and get that extra patch storage!

Re: Disable save preset with double click the master

I've seen a couple of references to 3.6 - I have 3.5? I haven't bought the field upgrade yet though so I still have the smaller preset storage.

Re: Really daft CV jack question!

1: A Voyager XL is £3,700 or thereabouts. 2: I had a Voyager SS before and I liked it. It was my first brand-new analogue synth, it was Fire/Mahogany and looked wonderful all lit up. The PE is a 2004ish one, it doesn't like up, and I have to field upgrade it to fix the A/T and add the banks - which ...

Re: How was the action on your Moog Guitar when you got it?

The Moog Guitar derives note info to the 13 pin output from under saddle piezos, so it won't just plug and play into a system setup for the magnetic-based GK systems. You need major adjustments to track the piezos properly. You will get it to work. Thread zombie - if it's using RMC pickups and 13 p...

Moog Guitar wanted - UK but might travel!

It's a speculative one; I'm interested in getting a Moog Guitar. Red or black, trem not essential but preferred, MIDI would definitely be a bonus. In the UK, but might travel to USA to grab one particularly around Washington/Oregon (would take a while to complete sale though). No panic. No rush. Jus...

Really daft CV jack question!

Back with a Voyager - this time a PE, nothing as exciting as my old Select, but I love it. I've been replacing all the things I had - so just got a VX-351 and rack kit in anticipation of getting a CP. I have a silly question though - the cable being so long for the VX, and my rackmount desk being on...

They got me again!

In addition to my Voyager and VX/CP combination... there's going to be an Etherwave Plus! I'm hoping the CV will be fun with the Voyager's stuff. What PSU would I need to give my CP/VX their own supply, given that my Voyager makes electrical noise when powering the two expansion modules (and I have ...

I do indeed have the CP-251 connected with the internal wire. That might explain why I didn't notice it before when I'd just added the VX. It's not noise like "hiss", it's noise as in "that's an electrical noise that I'm sure shouldn't be there", and I'd say it is like a slight w...

It's the VX-351 - when it's disconnected it goes away. I'm going to try going back to the original lead in case my replacement black cable isn't shielded adequately, but at least I know what it is and can therefore dismiss it as "a feature" - unless my VX is faulty, of course :/ I was conc...

Odd harmonic/processing noise - fault or feature?

On some patches I can hear a background noise, which is confusing me. I don't remember hearing it before and it's proving a bit tricky to pin down what it might be. What it isn't is "because the sound is going through Cubase". It's basically a processor-like noise, or a "frequency&quo...

I never got my sticker for registering; I assumed it was because I was in the UK, but then when I asked they asked for my address again :/

Eh, it's only exposure for themselves that they lose, I was going to stick it on one of my cars.

Since the one I have here cost only about $40K, I guess my repair bill has just been set at $25K. Cool. I was going to charge much less.... ;-) http://www.synthfool.com/emsnemu.jpg The one for sale claims to have a PDP/8 based "computer" module included too; though why someone selling a $...

I've had this problem under OS X Leopard as well - Intel MacBook Pro, Voyager 3.4 OS, and I've tried 3.4.1 and a patched version. Libraries aren't received but there's no change in the Sysex traffic. I think the fault may lie with changes to Apple's CoreAudio framework - dim and distant memory sugge...
