for the envelope filter, great for funk
or for use with other effects to get synthy sounds

two thing i like to do are to take the lfo out from the phaser and control the cutoff on the filter, that's always really fun

take the env out and send it to the sweep jack (not sweep in), set the amount on the phaser to zero and you'll have a envelope controlled phaser

must. hear. sound.

if i were you i'd go with a filter for the envelope bass filter sounds

i only use my 101 for treating tape or audio (rarely live) but when it hisses i wrap tin foil around it. seriously. it works.

i live in an old house with bad wiring and i live right near a christian rock radio station (it's torture when i'm recording), but it's my 101 that picks up most of the radio, so i put tin foil on the output cable and that stops it
