Re: April Fools speculation

An editor and software update for Taurus 3. Only problem is the point of an April Fool is to make people think it's something real and no-one would believe that for an instant (bitter much?).

Re: Any word on Moog guitars?

As the Vo-96 II is projected to start after the Wond II (now called EMpick) I would assume the MkI is no longer for sale. It looks like you can sign up for Vo-96 II now but it could be a while before that project sees the light, I'm still waiting on the EMpick which I'm guessing will be late Spring/...

Re: Moog Taurus 2 square waves

The Taurus II is similar to the Rogue which I own and if it's the same then Osc 1 is a Square and Osc 2 is a Pulse rather than a pure square. If you look closely at the panel the waveforms look slightly different.

Re: Polymoog Creator & Former Moog Music President, Dave Luc

The Polymoog defined Gary Numan's sound and it was Numan that got me into synths, so by extension Dave Luce was an influence on me even if I didn't know his name at the time. RIP.

Re: Taurus 2 setup with other synths

I have some similar synths to you - an SH-09, MC-202 (similar to SH-101) and Rogue (similar to Taurus II). On the Rogue the trig socket has both S-Trig and V-Trig available. If the Taurus II is the same make sure you are taking the V-Tring - S-trig is no use for non-Moog products of this era. The V-...

Re: Taurus 3 MIDI CC: How do I set LFO to triangle or square

I'll have a go at it this week. I have a MIDI map set up using a Novatoon X-Station so shouldn't take me long go seem if it's working. It definitely controlled the Taurus parameter but I may not have noticed it wasn't selecting Square.

Re: Taurus 3 Update

Not to diminish your post, but I was a little disappointed as I thought there was a Taurus 3 software update!

Anyway glad to see them live and I want to try to do the same (finally) this year.

What would I ask? Where's my Taurus 3 editor? That's what I'd ask.

Re: Roland "Boutique Series"

I love Roland of old, but not been impressed with their recent offerings. They always seem to just miss making a product great as if they get so far with development and just went, "that'll do": System-1: nice idea, crappy two-octave keyboard, limited polyphony. TR-8: nice idea but limited...

Re: Sequencing the T3 80s style

Maybe try changing the extension from .mid to .jpg and it may fool the system into thinking you're uploading a picture. Or put the file in a folder and zip it and see if it allows .zip file uploads.

Re: Sequencing the T3 80s style

There will be an export MIDI function in your DAW. Once exported you can upload here by hitting the 'Upload Attachment' tab when you reply to the topic.

Re: Sequencing the T3 80s style

Can you post the MIDI file and I'll try it in my DAW?

Does it only trigger late when using the arp or is it also late when just playing straight notes without you triggering?

Do you have "Local" switched off?

Re: Sequencing the T3 80s style

I would try changing some settings in the MIDI menu. For instance you could set MIDI Filter to "Notes Only" and maybe try changing the MIDI Sync Start to "Start MSG" if it's set to "Any CLOCK" or vice versa. I don't really think that will make any difference, clutching ...
