Size for sure! I'm not sure how they crammed all those features in at that price point though

Re: SubPhatty editor troubles

HEY! Better update!
Amos sent me a PM. He's working on it!
(Urgh, I also realized maybe my 10.7 operating system could be part of the problem...)

Re: SubPhatty firmware update, editor troubles

Yep, I upgraded the Sub's internal firmware correctly. It's working with Reason and on it's own, so I think the problem is software related. I can live with that though, at least the synth itself isn't giving me any trouble.

SubPhatty editor troubles (Amos on the case!)

Hey all. Updated my Sub Phatty's firmware. Great Success! Even retained my hard earned presets. However, the editor crashes as soon as I set my preferences, both in standalone and in conjunction with Ableton LIve 9. I've restarted everything, which is usually the fix for new program problems. BUMMER...

Re: analogue step sequencer

I made one. But it's kind of crappy. I used a CD4022BE chip. it just spits out the input voltage from a different lug with each trigger from the clock source. It works, but even if you have all the dials in the same spot, you get pretty different pitches. You can sort of see it for a second, its the...

Re: Prodigy, or a more 'modern' moog / synth?

I was considering a prodigy for a while, but for a few months of looking I couldn't find one with CV jacks, nor could I find good info online about doing that myself. If I were in that situation again, I would go for a Sub Phatty, but Im a big fan of USB and MIDI, as well as the "knob per funct...

Well, to be fair, I haven't ever tried a moog that didn't rattle my booty through a decent set of speakers.

Re: Should I buy sub phatty for bass

I'm using mine for quite a bit of bass. I got asked to start a new project in which they wanted me to play bass guitar, and I said, nah, check this out instead: "BWUUUUAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" I like it a lot better than the minitaur, partly because of the integrated keyboard, but more for the ea...

Destroyager Old School

Hey, um, it turns out a little fuzz pedal can really open up some hellish sonic territory. In this case, my Old School.

I could probably do this for about an hour, but alas, duty calls.

Theremin live looping

My friend Peter Diedrick came by on Friday to show off his new piece.
The basis is theremin, and a bunch of looping, and my pitchgrinder occasionally.

Sadly, it is just a one camera shoot, but a lot of it looks almost as nice as the audio sounds.

Re: Minitaur firmware update soon - your requests here pleas

i get it... a more gradual curve in the mapping of knob position to LFO depth! I will look at this. I've made excellent progress on all of the instability bugs (panel controls freezing, output stopping until reboot) - I think this is 100% fixed. I'm running some tests overnight, then I should know ...

Re: MIDI INTERFACE TO RECORD VIA PC??? MOOG LITTLE PHATTY

You can use your Phatty's USB cable for MIDI. This means controlling software synths for most people. If you want to record the sounds your phatty makes, you have to have an audio interface.
