Re: Sub 37 Feature Request....
It'd be nice if the digital stuff wouldn't bleed noise into the analogue path, like, at all.

Re: Sub Phatty - My user experience
Part of the harsh Minimoogy sound is probably due to the "more open" cutoff... I don't know why, but it's not the first time I've read this. Do you have a guess why is that? I have no idea what yer talking about :D Nor do I get what the "harsh Minimoogy sound" is about. The Mini...

Re: Sub Phatty - My user experience
On the overall, I think that the Sub is a great instrument, but I don't get that Minimoog vibe you're getting with it. Maybe you think like it because of the pre-filter saturation and also the "3 osc", but it sounds too polite and TUNED. Well, compared to other new Moogs, yes, I definitel...

Re: Sub Phatty - My user experience
I've owned a Voyager, a Little Phatty Stage II and now a Sub Phatty. I've also owned a Midimoog and a Micromoog. To me, the Sub Phatty sound and interface bests the LP, easily. And for many sounds it also beats the Voyager. There is just slightly more of that sizzle that the Midimoog had. My only gr...

Re: Share your synthesizer music!
First thing that I did with my new Sub Phatty. Nothing special, just a simple sequence in "kosmische" style, with a boring lead on top and a dark (ie. muddy) bass down below. https://soundcloud.com/matti-juhana/moog-sub-phatty-sequence The envelope/VCA response is great, imo. Tight and sna...

A little Voyager demo clip with Empirical Labs Fatso Jr.
Some time ago, I traded my Midimini for a Moog Voyager Electric Blue. The Voyager is noticeably tamer than the Midimini, but great sounding nevertheless. We also got an Empirical Labs Fatso Jr. to our bands studio very recently. Pairing the Fatso with the Voyager was one of the first things I wanted...

It makes me wonder though, if DSI can cram four analog voices into a box that small, can't Moog do four times that with a box the size of a Voyager? Just for kicks, here's a photo of the Tetra voice circuits: http://matrixsynth.blogspot.com/2009/08/inside-dsi-tetra.html That is crammed, indeed! Her...
