Re: mf 101 rf noise

UPDATE #2 - I guess there's nothing wrong with my MF101, it's most likely the power in my house or just my proximity to a radio tower. I took the pedal to work with me to test it there and there's no RFI noise at all. So while it is great news that my pedal isn't broken, it's just unusable in my hom...

Re: mf 101 rf noise

Update - I tried some snap-on ferrite cores in various places, which seemed to help slightly but not really worth the effort. I guess I'll try sending it in for repairs. With the exact same setup, I can swap out my MF 102 or 103 and they are quiet. Only the 101 picks up radio stations. Weird.

Re: mf 101 rf noise

Bumping this to see if anyone else has had this problem, and whether or not a solution was found. I've used my MF 102 and 103 for a couple of years without issue, they are very quiet. Last week I bought a used (out of warranty) 101 filter, and it is picking up a lot of RF. Same PSU and audio cables ...

LP/SP filter vs. Mother-32

Anyone have both to compare? Should the lowpass filters be pretty much the same? I used to have a Little Phatty that I loved, and I'm considering a Slim Phatty now to get that sound again. I do have a Mother-32 which sounds great, but one thing that bugs me is processing external audio through the f...

Re: Animoog : WISHLIST

yes MIDI OUT! Its an incredible controller... if we can get it to send all the midi data out to capture then it becomes an incredible controller surface and lets us capture edit great performances on the synth into a more pro recording environment! +100 Man, I really want to be able to use that coo...

Re: EQing the Phatty!

Post some sound files so we can hear too!
I think EQ is often overlook on synths. It's an easy way to make a synth sound more "vocal". My old Korg Z1 had EQ built in, and I remember boosting the mids to the max would really make it sound less digital and more punchy.

Re: A little humor...

David lee Roth, though an idiot, was a tremendously energetic singer who had the very rare ability to sing harmonically like Mongolian throat singers. I'd call myself a Van Halen fan, definitely, but this one still gets me rolling on the floor with laughter even years after first hearing it: http:/...

I don't think there are adjustable curve settings in the LP.

Re: Macbeth MicroMac

Now can somebody explain the combination lock control and a not I saw somewhere about a pot that takes multiple full revolutions to reach the full range? Those are 10-turn pots, meaning that they spin around completely 10 times before hitting the bottom or top range. The idea is that this makes fin...

Re: Filter changes via pedal not recorded over midi?

I really want to be able to capture 100% of my performance digitally. I don't think MIDI is your answer because there will always be some digital "stepping" involved with a resolution of only 128 values. The problem here is that your pedal is generating DC voltage (meaning that it is all ...

It still says 106m on their main page but I think it is just a typo.
The link takes you to a list of gear that has the 108m on it.

Yep, sounds like it. Thanks for all the info - greatly appreciated.
I still want an Old School some day, but I'll have to stick with my Little Phatty for now.
