Re: Sysex woes
OK got it working, I had not followed these steps that Rudi had posted: The update file order is: 1) go to the MASTER page "Receive Update" and send bank "B". 2) then if the Voyager asks for bank "D" leave "NO" and press ENTER. 3) in the MASTER menu go to &quo...

Sysex woes
Hi all, I am having intermittent issues with my Voyager Select Series (system version 3.6 beta found on Knob Tweakes, Boot version 3.5) Intermittently, it will fail to receive or send sysex and I'll be prompted with a message on the LCD screen that says "Send/Recieve Sysex is disabled" or ...

Re: Has anyone opened and cleaned the pot on a Moog pedal?
I did not search for Deoxit specifically, looked for "cleaning, scratchy, dirty pot" etc... Looks to be a mixed bag, some saying it's fine, and the manual from the 70's stating that it may collect dust over time. All I know is my problem is solved for now. I should probably contact Moog di...

Re: Has anyone opened and cleaned the pot on a Moog pedal?
I think the only snag was the fact that you put deoxit on there. What's wrong with Deoxit? The pots are not quite as smooth and silky as they were before, is that what you are talking about? I don't really mind it that much. But now the knobs now feel more like my 7 year old MF101 instead of a 2 ye...

Re: Has anyone opened and cleaned the pot on a Moog pedal?
OK, done.
Not the worst cleaning I've done, nor the easiest.
The worst part was keeping the washers in place and pots aligned when reassembling. I was worried about bending things when pulling apart and reassembling. Things seem to "flex" during the process.
But scratchy mix pot no more!

Has anyone opened and cleaned the pot on a Moog pedal?
I am going to do this anyway, but I thought I'd check in here first. The Mix knob on my MF104Z delay has suddenly become scratchy. While I have no interest in opening this thing up, the scratchy sound is irritating, as I do a lot of tweaking on the fly (that's the point right!). Any potential snags ...

You own the editor don't you Barrie? Just go through each bank and pull it into the Mac, then Save it as a file, like they were talking about in the other thread. It's the easiest way to do them all. You can load the file back into the editor to verify and you are good to go. Also, if you are not cr...

No problem, bhrama. Thanks to Subtronik, csus7 and Moog support for chiming in on this. I honestly think the documentation should be revised to reflect what we've learned here. This was a confusing update, but the new features are very nice and the new presets are great. I kind of like challenges li...

Hey guys, I got a reply from Moog support today, and they said it was fine to share it here: The first bank to be loaded will be Bank B, and on a lot of units that I have experienced it will then immediately ask for Bank D after that, which you should just give it (basic rule of thumb would be to gi...

To be honest Bhrama, I am not sure where I stopped, I fought with it for so long on late Saturday night/early Sunday morning, I think I recall getting through all four banks towards the beginning of this. But by the time I noticed (what seemed like a problem) I could only do the two banks, B and D. ...

Hi Barrie, I seem to have hijacked the Voyager OS problem thread that you started. Sorry about that. Are you still stuck at backing up your presets? You can do this with the tools you have. But I understand that it's much easier working with people who know the tools better. I did a back up of every...

Thanks for posting that Subtronik. That sheds some light on what we are seeing here. So for myself and brhama, it will only give us the option of writing B (boot system) and D (system bank 3). BUT it is possible we both successfully updated without realizing it at the beginning of this whole mess. I...
