Re: Can I add to the CP-251&VX-351???

Hello again,
And thanks for the advice. I want my voyager to be as flexible as possible, so this information will help. Any other Ideas out there would be helpful as well.

Can I add to the CP-251&VX-351???

Hello,
I own a minimoog Voyager (not the RME) and both the CP-251& VX-351. I would like to add two more CP-251s rackmountable and I wondered where they would get their power? From two wall-warts...or from daisychaining the both so there could only be 1 power supply.
Thank you,

Hey,
I think the fact that I did not realize he had a sex change was the fact that he looks so much like a woman. Also, I never read about it anywhere.
But for now on I will call him Walter out of nostalgia (but not to his face, he might punch me).
My favorite Walter Carlos is Tron...it is ingenius.

Hey, Boy do I feel like the village idiot! I honestly never knew Wendy Carlos used to be a man! This is like a strange revelation... I mean, I'll admit she has some strong looking cheekbones...but I guess I am just uninformed about things...er...everything I guess. Tomita is not like a gender neutra...

Memorymoog Plus Factory Patches

Hello, Sorry to bother...but does anyone have a sound file of the Memorymoog+ factory patches they could send my way? You could upload them here in the files section: http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/Memorymoog_For_Dummies/ I lost my tape and I did not have a backup...please don't laugh at me. T...

Hello, In my OPINION...the prophet5 is a much brighter synth with a wider range than the Memorymoog. I own both with Midi and the Memorymoog wins in the "power" department hands down. However, the prophet5 seems more like a living instrument to me. I bought my Pro5 from Wess Taggart, and w...

Hey, I am not sure if TOMITA is a band, but I think he is great(The album "Bermuda Triangle" is great). I also like these "bands": Wendy Carlos(I have everything by Wendy, and I love most of it) Vangelis(I have everything by Vangelis except "Sex Power"...and I like 70 p...

Hello, My favorite synth solo (so far) is from YES "Tales From Topographic Oceans", the song is "The Revealing Science Of God". You really have to listen to he structure of the whole song and then hear the intro to the solo from a soft Moog turning into a psychedelic Moog. Most o...

P.S., A few years back I spoke to one of the more well known synth techs in the industry about the comeback of analog synths...This was about the same time Korg released the Prophecy, and then the Nord followed. He said "No way, It will NEVER happen!"..."Think of the cost" blah, ...

Hello, I believe it is a good idea and someone will do it. I believe it will have to be either you or me...Or perhaps the Chinese(very cool people really). Have you checked out this site? http://www.synthtech.com/cem/cemdata.html You used to be able to buy the more popular CEMs from them, at a price...

Hey, I think I would go for one of the modulars to work with the Voyager and the VX351 and the 251...patchability and external audio input=fun. The Roland system would be cool because it looks like a spaceship control panel...a beautiful synth. But the MS20 is a little more patchable, I think. http:...

Hey, thanks for the trimpot help. I have pretty much found the one that is used in the MM, it is the bourns 3296w, which is a little thinner and newer than the old 3299 (according to bourns tecnical support). I think I am like Luke Skywalker when he says to Yoda: "I'm not afraid", and then...

Hey,
I was not aware of Mark "Ayres" contribution to that score. This is a site I have been looking at that you probably already have found:

http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepage ... ecords.htm

Mark also did the opening credits for "The Shining" which I liked alot.

Hey Kevin, The part in question is either the Bourns 3299 100k LC "w", or the Bournes 3296 100k LC "w"...and the magazine you can get from Mouser or Digi-Key has them for pretty cheap. But I agree with you, I just had my power supply modified by a pro, and it works like a dream n...
