Re: Elka Concorde 881

Sorry guys, just to specify that I mispelled the model in this post. It's Elka Concorde 811, not 881!

Re: Elka Concorde 881

Sorry I'm not in the studio anymore, so I won't be able to make new videos in the next days, but I'll be back in the studio by the end of the month. Anyway, you can see the Concorde from top in this video from a couple of years ago, it's the big one on the far left: http://www.youtube.com/user ...

I have always thought it's a mini as well, but have never been sure about this... I have not made any deep research about this matter, even though it's been in the back of my mind for a long time... on the record's liner notes it's just stated he plays a "synth".

I'm not sure this actually is a Moog (I think it is)... but this is by far one of the wickest tracks featuring a synth solo:

If anyone is SURE what this synth exactly is it 'd be really appreciated! :)

ooohh i didnt realise the Dano had a mic in it... interesting

Yep. It's in fact got 2 small mics attached to the plastic tube you put in your mouth to modulate the sound. the tube goes into the pedal and the mics end in a small jack to insert in the pedal. So it is basically self-contained ...

Hey thanks everyone for replying...
I'm not a big fan of the talk-box (mouth-box? what the hell..) used on guitar, though it seems to be invented for that purpose. Being born in 1974 and growing up in the 80s I just can't get the image of Richie Sambora out of my mind every time I hear that sound ...
