Keep it! It's not analog but it's still a great synth with a lot of capability.

[quote="CTRLSHFT"] you'd need the VCA (gating) too, but i don't think something like this would be completely out of the question for moog to build. honestly i'd like to see a unit w/ a cv-midi converter (a simple one), one VCA, and two envelopes Right, we're on the same page. When I said ...

What I would really make it is a CP-251-like box with a MIDI/CV converter and an envelope generator. That and a MIDI keyboard would transform the rest of the foogers into a rudimentary but playable modular synth. Which is why I suspect Moog hasn't released one.

Hard to beat Keith Emerson as an all time fave rave. Currently though I'm in love with Hiromi Uehara. Plays a lot like Keith but a lot easier on the eyes. Check it out!

... . I'm getting a jamman Hi Dean, Not fooger advice, but regarding the Jamman you might want to reconsider. There's a closeout going on and if you check out Musicians Friend and a few other sites you can get an honest-to-god Echoplex Digital Pro Plus with the footcontroller for $599, which is unbe...

I'm partial to a box called a Sparkle Drive made by Voodoo Lab. Has a warm OD circuit (based on an Ibanez TS808, I believe), but also has a clean boost circuit that lets you mix the dry signal back in with the distorted signal, which lets you dial in just the amount of "edge" you want. The...

Excellent! Thanks to all of you! Glad to have some more candidates for my equipment needs and also some more sales sites to look at. The idea of going for real Moog modules sure is tempting. Not to mention picking up a Voyager! Unfortunately, money is an object so I think I might wait till the econo...

MIDI /CV converters

Hello All, By way of introduction I’m a newcomer to Moog Land (I’ll date myself by mentioning that in my first year of college in 1969 I watched some music prof named Herb Deutsch demonstrate an early modular system for my Intro To Humanities class. Who knew?) At this point I’ve got the phaser, the ...
