Goose Neck Lamp

There's an old thread here dealing with the goose neck lamp and its difficulty in locking into place residing in the archives somewhere around here. I'm a bit embarrassed over my 'expertise' in this area as opposed to areas that really matter in regards to the Voyager, but here goes...

I've' owned ...

Hi Kevin! (and everyone),

Sorry, been away for awhile... I guess I'm the one that interjected the 'soft-synth' angle here...

I do want to make clear that I don't intend to be divisive at all. I'm just new to synths and am exploring ALL of my options -- having fun doing so and merely sharing my ...

Hey, I understand monads -- I also think that both can co-exist.

I'm not sure where you're coming from though when you mention stability and update issues though with soft synths (especially Reason). Seems to me that computers are what have made synths stable! I certainly have no trouble with the ...

Which is understandable.

However, not everyone plays on stage, nor does everyone have the thousands of $'s required to buy what you and I own.

I also compose music in my home, not in an expensive professional studio. If it weren't for computers, I wouldn't be able to accomplish what I'm currently ...

I like the vco expansion idea. I'd probably, no, I would purchase it for my Voyager. However, as Beluhan has pointed out, the price range on this whole idea can tend to be prohibitive for most buyers.

In this day and age of computers and Reason (the program), it can be difficult to justify spending ...

Although I can't speak for Beluhan, I believe that Beluhan suggested the retail price of $24000.00 as a joke; a bit of tongue-in-cheek is all...

I stand corrected if I'm wrong...

Minimoog Voyager = 1 Voice = 3,000.-$
Polyphonic Voyager = 8 Voices = 24,000.-$

Polyphonic Voyager w/8 Voices, including proper operating system upon release = Priceless

Hey Count, feel free to post "newbie" stuff on my thread, for newbies! That's what I created it for. The more experienced users won't ever even need to read it -- because that thread is for beginners!

Being a beginner myself, I appreciate just about any relevant information that may help me out ...

Yeah, the more I learn about Reason the more I am impressed. You are a bit further along than me though -- I came very close to buying a laptop last month. I mean, with my little Ozone MIDI controller, Reason, a laptop and some headphones, I would essentially have a very powerful portable ...

Tips for Beginners -- such as Myself and Boeing

Boeing,

After re-reading many of your posts, and, visiting your website, I think I now understand better why you seem to be on a different level than most of the rest of the other users here.

Now, hear me out, I am not being offensive, nor sarcastic -- this time. So anyway, I was just thinking ...

For all the do-it-your-selfers out there, I ran across this recently when trying to connect my vx-351 (internal) output adapter to my Voyager.

It was really easy to follow the step by step instructions, plus, it is illustrated:

RE: "You have failed to appreciate how crap this country is for synth enthusuasts."

Surely, you can't be serious! Duran Duran... Pet Shop Boys... Fat Boy Slim... Gary Numan... OMD... Chemical Brothers... Depeche Mode -- just for starters!

And that's not including the fact that Techno/Trance/House ...

Hi Kelly,

Based upon my experience with the light supplied by Moog with my SE Voyager, the lamp will lock into place, and does fit snuggly. It will also swivel 360 degrees -- but not loosely, which is a good thing!

As I mentioned above, I did resort to using pliers to gently twist the lamp into ...

Actually, the lamp will lock on -- after a wee bit of gentle persuasion anyway: Pliers.

Some may squint, but, I've used pliers on my se for months now with no adverse affect. It doesn't take much force at all to fully lock the lamp on this way. And moreover, I've found that I no longer even need to ...
