Stick Player - sure, pushing those buttons and playing with the wheels sounds great, and like a fantastic way to connect with the instrument...it's just that I personally would be just as happy doing that with the unit sitting on a tabletop or in a rack. For me, what's crucial is getting that Taurus ...

how many would like a rackmount/module-only Taurus?

I'm just curious because I remember this being mentioned in another thread (I don't remember which one). Personally, I would be very interested since I'm pretty comfortable with using my Roland PK-5A for all my pedal needs. I'd just love to get the authentic Taurus sound without having a second set ...

Any suggestions for a good T1 pedal contact cleaner?

Hey guys, I thought this would be a good place to ask if anyone could recommend a good cleaner I can use to get rid of the "dead notes" and stubborn notes on the pedal contacts. I've used some silver jewelry cleaner but had mixed results. Any tips are appreciated!

I just want to point out that 1976 is not the first year of production for Taurus pedals. my set of Taurus pedals has a factory sticker ("inspected by...") which is dated August of 1975.

I forgot to add one thing: An all-new contact board (one of the high-quality retrofit units offered at synthfool.com) for the T1 pedals would really take the reliability and durability of my T1 to a much higher level. But I guess this would qualify as part of item #1 on the list I just posted, right?

At the moment I own the original Taurus as well as the Roland PK5, but I don't own the T3 yet. Once I get the T3 I'll give a verdict. :D

At the moment, however, there are a couple of things I could do to/add to my current pedals to make me as happy with them as possible:

1) get the Taurus 1 ...

I'd LOVE glow-in-the-dark "keys". For a while I've actually wanted to have someone fabricate new wooden caps for the keys on my T1 pedals. I would have them made raw and unfinished. Just bare wood. Then I'd paint them with glow-in-the-dark paint, then give them a lacquer coating with something ...

Well, if that's the case, then he can autograph one set and give it to me.

One thing I do want to point out...Geddy does not use Roland PK-5 pedals, but rather Korg pedals. He's used the Korg pedals since the 80s, even back when the Taurus pedals were still part of his live synth gear. I don't know about you, but personally I'd be on cloud nine if Geddy decided to use some ...

I'll tell you what I'll do with my T3 when it arrives...I'll MIDI it to my Alesis Ion and get those sweet Geddy Lee Taurus-interfaced-with-an-Oberheim sounds. And I'll also MIDI it to a sampler (when I have one) and never sleep nor eat because I'll be triggering limitless sounds, noises and voices ...

You bet! MST3K is an all-time favorite of mine. You know, I don't remember the Conn trumpet episode. And if your LP kicked you out of the bed, just imagine in what condition one would wake up (or maybe never wake up again) after trying to snuggle with Taurus pedals.

You're on the right track when it comes to ampling the Taurus...Each of those Kustom cabinets (Kabinets?) contains two 15" speakers right? When I was in a Rush cover band, our PA was a powered 8-channel mixer which pushed two Yamaha 2x15 cabinets...man oh man, could you feel it when I played the ...
