Re: Oberheim Two voice

Let's see... $900 for a MIDI SEM $600 for a bare panel SEM $300 (?) for a keyboard So a 2 Voice will have to cost around $1,800 - $2,000, somewhere in there. I'd still buy one of these instead of a Prophet '08. I can't wait to see it. EDIT: Oh, and the original 2 Voice had a sequencer built in. I w...

Would you be alright with a deep synth like that, MC? Ive found it pretty difficult trying to find a really customizable 2-tier stand. You might want try a 3-tier A stand. Most of them are very customizable. You could take out 1 tier, making it a 2-tier with lots of space. Alternately you could lay...

Yes but remember many people don’t own a Voyager and Taurus and it might surprise you but many people don’t even want an “all new moog” setup and might just want the poly. Playing the “collect them all” game isn’t very practical for most when you’re talking $3k+ a piece (and many people would just l...

I didn't read the whole thread but for a new polyphonic moogish synth Studio Electronics Omega and Code polysynths seem like obvious choices.

Yes, please don't allow for the voyager to be sat on top. Buy a rhodes for that (multi-tier keyboard stand). If a voyager could be set on top than valuable knob/button/control space is lost.

Recently I was on a quest for portability. Something I could tote around with me, sit anywhere and sequence without a bunch of added gear. Just an all in one box. I ended up choosing an MFB Synth II. However, having owned and enjoyed a little phatty if there were a little phatty box w/sequencer I w...

Some other well know filters are 2 pole so if you are trying to get something more like a Oberheim Sem sound or MS-10/20, they used 2 pole filters. Not that an LP is going to sound like the afforementioned synths but in 2 pole you'll get closer to the filter response than you will in 4 pole.

I had a polivoks for a while. I finally decided to sell it because I'm not aware of one person in the states who can work on them and that was too much of a liability for me. I did love the sound which ranged from a big round mellow 70's discrete sound to the aggro sounds it is mroe well known for. ...

What's up with moog shipping prices on clothing?

So I was just about to buy the Moog baby Onesie for my son. The onesie is $15, which is ok . So I'm going through checkout and the cheapest shipping option is $10.50+. What’s up with that? Over $25 for a onsie is absolutely ridiculous. You could ship that USPS for a couple dollars, max. Come on Moog...

Should I upgrade from LP to voyager???

Basically I've been thinking about this for some time but I just have a hard time justifying it. After selling the LP I would need an additional $1K to buy the voyager. I'm not sure I feel that the additional features are worth $1k especially considering that I could keep the LP and still have the b...
