Re: What would you like to see next from Moog Theremins?

Why not a completely retro, tube and coil theremin? Bob did write the book (well, articles) on how to do it. If not, then a EW-Pro with an old "tube radio" case. Have a place inside the case to store antennas and legs. I'd also like to see memory for patches, so you could have different so...

I use the Antares ATR-1. I put it in the chromatic mode and forget about bad notes. It's not 100% transparent, but I've never had anyone complain.

Pro vs. Standard

While it is true that the Pro has certain features that the Standard doesn't have (including more timbre controls and CV outs), there is something even more important to me: playability. In my experience, the Pro is easier to play and control than the Standard. Frankly, I liked the features of the P...

Well, a couple of things. First the rating of 600 watts is meaningless. What is more valuable is the efficiency, usually shown as decibels at 1 watt at 1 meter. An efficient amp/speaker combination at 100 watts could blow away an inefficient amp/speaker combo with 1,000 watts. And of course, this as...

It would appear that Moog is making 80 more ePros. This limited edition includes a gig bag for $1579.00.
Im thinking about having my Standard theremin modded to send pitch/volume cv's and saving a thousand bucks to get other moog gear hehehe.
There more differences between the EW and the ePro than simply getting CV for pitch/volume.

I would say that "mint" is a meaningless sales term, like "free gift" (what sort of "gift" isn't free?). As has been pointed out, mint can refer to the exterior appearance. It should mean "appears to be new," but there's no guarantee that any advertiser uses i...

Easier Alternative

As many of the people here know, although it is often assumed that a theremin was used on the Beach Boy's song, "Good Vibrations," the actual instrument was a Tannerin, also known as an "Electro-Theremin" or Slide Theremin. Although a Tannerin sounds like a theremin it is ...

When did this happen? According to the web site they are simply not selling direct any more and only going through distributors.
For the best bass and power, get a wood or heavier material cabinet, such as a Yorkville EF500P.
The specks on that Yorkie show no top end. While that may seem not to be bad if you're looking for bass, as the volume goes up so do the number of overtones, and if ...

Hi, Kevin. My heart goes out to you. People who have never had back problems don't know how debilitating, irritating, painful, and draining they can be. I had it happen to me once, 20 years ago, and I'd never want it to happen again. Rather than work arounds, I'd prefer to suggest work throughs. Hav...

Oberheim's Matrix 6, 6R, and 1000 are all 6-voice units and you could run up to 6 of them in parallel, so you would have a 12, 18, 24, 30, or 36-voice (2 DVOs each) monster. Now what would be kewl is if Moog could make something like the old Oberheim 2-voice expander and be able to link the serially...

My guess is that the spaces that have been blocked hold the answer. I would suggest going to the location where you found the original image and asking what's under the white blocks.

If you simply want to know the meaning of the images, look for information on the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn.

Re: digital recording

Brokeneck, it's impossible to answer your question because we don't know what inputs your computer will have. Does it have audio inputs? Are they good quality? If so, you won't need the external sound to USB converter you listed. However, you may want to get a good quality mixer. Personally, I like ...
