I also forgot to post that I use Win98SE, so this trouble is not just for one Windows OS ver. If you can find a serial to midi cable, and your machine has a serial port (i guess they still do?) you might try this. I got the cable from the SoundBlaster AWE32 soundcard, we had a lot of them where I us...

Did you get it fixed?

I had this same problem, tried all the fixes with no luck. Finally I pulled out an old serial-to-midi cable and it works now. Fully calibrated too.
