My room is on the western side of the house. It gets hot as a result. I do not run my
gear when it is heatwave conditions like now. My synths definitely they are affected by any temperature fluctuation but it takes a drop or rise of about 3C.

My LP TE had this problem with the LCD where it would become scrambled after a few hours. it would change the patch preset names and they would become nonsense, with the LCD actually looking corrupted. I didn't ever get a solution to this - until we moved house. The power loop my Phatty is on now is...

Are you sure that the MIDI out channel on the Little Phatty is properly set to control the Octopus? Yes. The Octopus doesn't care what channel the LP is on as it receives on all channels (Omni On) but maps internally to the correct track. The problem is that it seems that the LP does indeed not hav...

MIDI Thru?
Hi, I am having a problem that I do not understand. If I connect my LP's MIDI to my MIDI interface and send both Ports In and Out, everything works fine. But because the LP does not have a Thru port, I bought a MIDI Thru box to connect to. What I want to do is send my MIDI out as usual to my Interfa...

I have had this problem as well - with my Tribute model. The symptom is the same with the base note A440 transposed to E# or similar. When I ran the calibration process, the first time it started at note #12 but constantly retuned over and over the same note and it was definitely very off scale. So ...

The Tribute has a smaller EEPROM which is where the operating system is stored; this is why when we (finally) complete the OS 2.0 for the Tribute Edition, it will need an EEPROM upgrade to hold the expanded firmware code. Fortunately, EEPROM chips are cheap. :-) Is the EEPROM in the Tribute sockete...

I have seen this exact problem and wrote to Amos about it some time early last year. It seemed to happen when the LP was left on for more than a few hours. However, since I moved house and now my LP is on a 15 amp mains loop, the problem has not come back. In all cases I have been on the latest firm...
