Did AT get added to the MP-201 for the new OS? If so, I'm ordering one now! :D

Thanks for passing that on, Amos!

Add AT in addition to standard CCs and I'd buy one tomorrow! :D

Hmmmmm....You may want to mention Pitch Bend as well. ;)

Can the MP-201 generate aftertouch?

I know the MP-201 can generate MIDI CCs at its MIDI output but can it also generate aftertouch?

I'd like to use it in MIDI merge mode to supplement a keyboard that dosent generate AT.

Thanks!

It really is a beautiful synth. My first project with it is going to be to make something with it alone. I might use some "found" ambiences but all the synth sounds will be Minimoog :)

Say what?! I've been perfectly kind and respectful to you. I hold no animosity toward you whatsoever and if you think I do, I publicly say now that I don't and never will. If you have problems with friends of mine, you'll have to work that out between yourselves. I have no quarrel with you at all. I...

I could suggest several things to check that few people know about, but if your mini fails any of these tests, you'd probably be less than pleased knowing. Not at all, I welcome all info. Knowledge is always a good thing. Fire away. I know that nothing is perfect and I'm certain this Minimoog is no...

You could try removing the guts for safekeeping and using a heat gun and thin steel putty knife to get the paint off.

Laquer thinner and sanding would take care of the residue then you could use a nice polyurethane clearcoat.

Thanks, Kevin. good to know about your parts store! The plastic keytops off a broken Moog Satellite worked great to replace the particular keys that were brown, other than the knobs, everything else looks/sounds to be in good shape. What a lovely synth! Its so much nicer than I had hoped! My only ex...

The finish is rather dirty, there's lots of scratches on it, and there's some slivers missing, notably in front of the wheels.

The photo is rather flattering though ;)

Wow, nice! So you traded your LP for it? Never! I really like the LP :D Try Kevin Lightner at Synthfool for knobs. Or perhaps Moog has them? Tempting, but I think KL's time is pretty much booked up through 2008 based on the looks of his website! Kevin's an amazing Tech - I've got an Arp Axx...

Finally scored a Mini!

Sometimes I really hate Guitar Center...usually, they're just pushing crap at me...last weekend was different. http://www.carbon111.com/mini/mini1.jpg Keybed had fresh bushings, all electronics perfect. No scratchy or rough pots...stays in tune... Went home, slept on it, played my Moog LP like crazy...

Thanks Carb !! AWesome story.. Sucks that the Liberation kinda pulled the carpet out so to speak, but it wasn't Bob or Herb's fault, I'm sure. Money hungry Norlin probably... Herb's a businessman, he saw an idea he could use and ran with it. Bob had already been frozen out of Moogmusic by then so h...

After staring at them for a few months the unevenness of the keys is starting to bug me (it's the OCD in me) though I still can't see myself parting with my new toy. They work fine they're just not straight. You're not the only one. The keys on my LP have always been crooked as well - its most noti...

New Synth Webpage

I just got finished doing a webpage about the Syntar and had a cool pic of Bob Moog giving it a whirl at NAMM :D

http://www.carbon111.com/syntar.html if anyone is interested.
