Mono/legato gate. Some uses with this triggering env 3: 1) model Hammond organ percussion 2) model Yamaha CS60/80 ring-mod envelope Related to this: trigger envelope on key up: 1) Clavinet sticky pad sound 2) Harpsichord key-up jack sound David I was going to say release velocity. But a simple key ...

Re: Moog One TRANSFORM Requests

In addition to setting limits on the output of the modulation, it would be useful to limit/scale the modulation source. Using aftertouch as an example - what one might want to do is to ignore all aftertouch being sent from the keyboard up to a certain value, and then have it kick in from zero to 12...

Actually, both could be really useful. Simple example: lower the level the more notes played to help even out the volume. Another: reduce the detune the more notes played.

Re: Moog One Answers

Reposting my questions in this thread since Dan was answering them here: I'd like to know the details about voice assignment modes on the One. On almost all poly synths, if you set up a lead sound with a long release time, it isn't usable in poly mode since it just sounds like a piano with the sust...

Re: New Moog Website Design

Yes - the new site design is horrible and appears to be done just for coolness or to assume the web designer with zero thought about usability. Also, I just hit a big flaw in this forum site. I went to write a response in a thread. It was fairly long and when I hit Submit, it had logged me out. When...

The only synths I know of that address this are the O...

Re: Moog One ?

I love the beat-frequency knobs!!! Basically it's linear-FM detune in addition to the common exponential tuning knob. The downside of how virtually all synths do this is that if you set VCOs to have some slow beating at the low end of the keyboard, the beat frequency will be too fast at the high end...

Re: 951 keyboard circuit

Yes - all the early mono synths (Moog Modular, Minimoog, Arps?, etc) used the 2-bus Pratt-Reed keyboard. One bus is the resistor chain to get the voltage. The other just shorts the two contacts whenever any key is pressed. The trick is that the first one must make contact first and release contact l...

Finally tried new Mini D

Guitar Center near my house doesn't carry anything interesting but was at one yesterday that had the reissue Minimoog. I haven't touched a real one since the '80s but have tried every other analog and VA to get that sound. About 30 seconds dialing up a nice resonant filter sweep and I had to start w...

Re: 1978 octave buffers

Just the boards or the whole kit (e.g. http://www.matrixsynth.com/2014/08/nos-moog-minimoog-d-synthesizer-octave.html)?

The kit would have some value mostly for the instructions and mounting bracket. The board itself is just 3 741 op-amps and worth about $10.

In case any of you in SoCal didn't hear about this tribute show in memory of Keith:

I plan on being there. This is the same hall where I saw the U.K. reunion a couple of years ago.
