more recordings of moogerfoogers

a while back i posted some recordings of mostly moogerfoogers. i've updated this page, fixed the recording levels, added a podcast, and moved all my files to the internet archive so i can make everything available without worrying about using up my bandwidth and storage. here the link: http://www.mo...

So far all impressions of this device suggest it's the most awful sounding thing I've ever heard. I thought it was just the original soundclip that was bad, but every example posted so far sounds dreadful. Is it possible to get a pure, rich, musical tone with one of these things, or does it always ...

nice man. so how did you do that? what was the chain? was it just one osc controlling another? i patched the oscillator out from one freqbox into audio in of the next in a circle and turned hard sync on for all three. i had to attenuate the oscillator output before patching it into the freqbox sinc...

The reversing attenuators is a big plus for me, and I plan to buy two CP-251's very soon. Does anyone know the serial numbers they start at or a way to tell which version you are getting by the box cause I will have to order these online, and don't want to get someone's older stock?? the highest nu...

hey chris hily shot, 8 Cps. I have one and I am thinking of getting another. How do you use all eight, I wonder. i have four other moogerfoogers, (101, 102, 103, 104z), so having eight unrelated random outputs is handy for all the different cv inputs on these. it's also useful to have them all modu...

Re: no power input on back of new cp251?

there is no longer a power input on the back of the unit, just on the side. Is this drilled through the wooden side panel???? I must be losing my mind! no, it's in the same place as the old one, on the "top" (not the top where the knobs are, but the other top. that didn't really c...

Hi Chris, I have a new CP too. On mine there is the power plug on the side like yours, but on the back of the unit there is a black round-shaped flat plastic plug which covers the hole for the ACplug on the back of the unit. Check and see if yours has this too. Hope so. that's what i find so baffli...

i think the electronic recording i've enjoyed the most are the Jean-Jacques Perry/Gershon Kingsley Vanguard recordings. these are available in the collection "the out sound from way in" (vanguard cd 184/86-2) and include the albums perry and kingsley collaborated on: "the in sound fro...

you can plug an expression pedal into the red jack and the other three jacks will output the expression pedal voltage. the red jack is different because than the others because it will supply power to an expression pedal. otherwise, all jacks are the same and it doesn't matter which one you use as t...

no power input on back of new cp251?

i just got a some new cp251s, and one of them is newer stock than all my others. there aren't too many important differences, except for one: there is no longer a power input on the back of the unit, just on the side. this is a major inconvenience for me as i have several of these, and i like to hav...

recordings of my moogerfooger

I'm going to start posting recordings of various modules in my system if nobody objects. This patch demonstrates the usefulness of a voltage controllable analogue delay in addition to several sample/hold modules. The delay is a moogerfooger 104z. Control signals were generated by four moogerfooger c...
