The LP has no noise source... at least not in the audio path. You can choose noise as a modulator. Used on the filter cutoff or on th osc frequency, it can sound somewhat similar to a white noise audio source... But still different.

both filter and amp envelopes are definitely 100% analogue circuits, on BOTH the Tribute and the Stage editions. I Guarantee it.™ Thanks for this first-hand information! I was quite sure I read something different earlier but couldn't locate the source anymore... If you now could also Guarantee™ th...

In my opinion it is a very different quality than just a noise floor. It's an obvious interference which could be some kind of control signal bleed through. Tweaking that "metallic" patch previously mentioned dramtically changes the timbre due to the frequency modulation and waveforms used...

digitally generated AMP envelope on LP SE?

Somewhere I read on these forums, that some technical changes have been made with regard to the original (tribute edition) Little Phatty. There was this rumour that the TE has two fully analog envelopes but the SE has only one (for the filter) and a D/A converted second one for the AMP section. Is i...

Post Your Phatty Stage Number!

Why not having such a thread for us Stage Edition owners, too? :)

I'm sure the problem is not as bad as some make out  Erveryone's perception is different  Personally, I noticed the interferences from the first day I got my LP! It sure depends on the type of analog sounds you play. If you like (and use) the LP overload circuit a lot, you probably won'...

Thanks for opening this thread, Extraborg. I think we should face the facts: The interferences are there and they sound rather unpleasant. They make the highs of the LP sound edgy. No analog synth that I heard, be it VCO- or DCO-based, ever produced such strange artifacts. I'm sure this is still the...

I see... so the initially planned bug fix release is postponed for a more feature-oriented release?

Where is the new LP Operating System?

Are there any indications of the upcoming OS update? I read here that it is in beta testing now.

What else, beside the NRPN Controllers, has been changed/fixed?

Any ideas? Any release date?

Somehow I've got the feeling, that the LP will never sound like its vintage siblings (be it the Soruce, the Mini or the Prodigy). There is certainly more going on than just opening up the filter wider...

I'm at a point where I consider selling my LP for a vintage moog....

This just mean that you place the wave knob somewhere between the full and thin square and then keep the mod amount as low that it doesn't reach into the sawtooth or triangle range. Other synthesizers have an explicit pulse width modulation without the possibility to fade the pulse wave into a saw /...
