I use finishing wax (that's what it's called in the UK anyway). A few layers. I would avoid laquer, varnish or anything else like that personally.

Good luck, it's easy enough to do once the synth is dismantled.

I've refurbished the wood on 2 or 3 Prodigies over the years. One of them I disassembled and re-glued with hot melt but the other ones I managed to do a good job on the wood without damaging the metal by using copious amounts of masking tape and taking great care. Stripping the wood is easy enough b...

Source knob is 38mm (1 1/2") outside diameter, spun aluminium insert on the top, serrated black plastic edges. Any luck?

No photo? No paypal accepted? Living in a hotel room - needs money - divorce papers & robbery/identity theft victim - but says he's buying a Voyager?
My thoughts exactly, the whole thing stinks. Avoid like the plague.

Moog Source - Replacement Control Knob sought

I've just bought a Source and strangely enough, the only major cosmetic defect is the control knob which has been scratched to bits. I've spent hours surfing but found nothing:

38mm dia. spun aluminium insert serrated edge knob

Any ideas,

Mr Lightner?

Cheers hopefully

Here it is. Apart from the logo fiasco, what other cosmetic differences are there between the domestic and export models please?

Thanks for that Pulsar, I've actually just found the heated debate I remembered reading (It's only a few threads down from here!), just seemed to skip over it before.

Got all the info. I need now, cheers
