updating my little phatty, help please

Hi, I have a little phatty stage sn 000104. purchased new back in the old days. I've never updated the software, and would like to do so. Should I just install the most recent I can find or do I have to do anything in stages? Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Good amp for LP?

Imho, my Fender Steel-King amp is a perfect fit for my Little Phatty. Full range 15" speaker and great spring reverb. Heaven

I always play and record my LP thru a Fender Steel King amp. It sounds great, and I've never had a problem.

As a Stage owner, I don't feel the same effect, but I'll offer my opinion anyway. I'm sure everyone at Moog would have liked to have fixed the TE problems first, but it's the cash coming in from new products that allows them to do it at all. They have to keep the lights on, and the paychecks coming,...

Try getting as close as you can, with 1 sawtooth wave, and 1 triangle wave, slightly de-tuned. Then set up the modulation with filter env to wave shape, set to full amount, with the mod wheel all the way up. It's as close as I can get.

This goes to show, that if you are patient with a small company, and supportive, they come through in the end.

I have noticed a lot of fluctuation of osc 2's pitch on my patches also. It now seems to me that because I am constantly correcting osc 2's pitch, that most of my patches are recalled with osc 2 freq as the selected parameter in the osc section. It may be because of a slight value jump when that kno...

Though I wouldn't use it to record, for reasons outside the scope of this post, for live use I've had good results with my mxr dyna comp pedal. It's small, relatively cheap, and sounds good with the Little Phatty. It can suck out too much high-end though, if not set just right.

Thanks for all the positive feedback! As far as the technical questions, I did not use any sequencers. My LP was plugged into a Fender Steel-King amplifier, eq'd flat, then run out of it's direct-out into a protools m-box. I use the Steel-King for it's great spring reverb, which I pretty much use on...

I made a mix playlist on my ipod this weekend of all submissions to this thread for a long car trip. I wanted to thank everyone for their great songs, I was in Little Phatty heaven driving down the highway.
