Re: Songs w/ Little Phatty

My band (New Modern Angels) released our first album the other day. Electropop with female vocals, and quite heavy usage of our Little Phatty Tribute. :D

You can find it on spotify, myspace, last.fm, itunes, klicktrack, etc as well.

Re: Portishead sell Voyager, buy Little Phatty SII!

Oh, interesting!
Do you know if the music will be recorded and published somehow, or was it only for this single time?
I absolutely love Portishead and Goldfrapp is also great.

Re: Aftertouch

Not to my knowledge, but if someone knows...please speak up. ;) There are software applications that take incoming MIDI CC data and outputs it as other CC. I haven't tried this myself but I guess that e.g. http://www.bluecataudio.com/Products/Product_RemoteControl/ should do the job. But the pedal ...

Re: Aftertouch

Isn't there a way to route the aftertouch of your controller to the CC-number that corresponds to filter cutoff on the LP?

Re:

Well, this is not exact answer to you question, but I can tell you that the Phatty and the Evolver make magic together! :) And since the Evo and the Mopho have quite a lot in common I can't imagine that LP+Mopho wold be a much worse combo... Is that you Christian from NMA? In a picture, I saw you p...

Ok, I see.
I have often seen people recommend a free program called MIDI-OX (www.midiox.com). It might be worth a try (if you are on windows).

I do my backups in Sonar. It has a separate sysex-section for this, so it's really easy! And it should not be any problems in sending all the presets from the LP in a bulk dump. In the sysex menu of the LP you only have to move the cursor to the second line and then twist the value knob... Or is it ...

When it comes to mastering I must say that what plugins you use are far less important than that you learn how to use them! Read everything you can find about limiters, multiband and regular compressors, EQ, etc. -Ozone has e.g. a well-written manual on their webpage. And as someone else already has...

I'm not an editor guy myself, and as that I have never tried any of these firsthand. But I remember that there were heavy debate and many complaints on Soundtower's editor software for the DSI Evolver a few years ago. Plenty of bugs and Soundtower seemed to be rather non-responsive to the complaints...

I have both a LP and a MEK and I love them both! But if I had to choose between them, the choice wouldn't be that difficult nonetheless. -The MEK has something special that really fits our music like a glove. It screams and distorts like nothing else. -The Phatty is an awesome instrument t...

Check out the synths from Dave Smith Instruments as well. I have an Evolver keyboard that is a great companion to the LP, and I reckon that the Prophet'08 and MoPho should be great as well. And also, remember to check out those Waldorf synths! Second hand Q's, microQ's and MicroWave's seem to go for...

I'm on my way to send my LP to upgrade, but just need to get a hopefully "stupid" question answered first... -My LP does not seem to have the noise problem described by many people (which now is "fixed" by the EGR:auto feature in the new OS's). Is there any risk that the hardware...
