when things are cheap nobody wants them, it's only when people think that they might miss out that they all jump in Us electronics dudes make out like bandits though, as the posers, er new people, er, non-nerds can't fix one themselves. So, only people that know how to repair analog gear are biddin...

Moog serial numbers (source)
Hey all,
Didn't moog start the production models of any new product at 1000? If so that means 106x would be one of the first 60, 113x the first 130.
I have a source and can't find serial number info or a registry for that model anywhere.

Ok that helps, but what exactly does full polyphony mean?... Is this incorrect or am i totally misunderstanding what full polyphony means. Full polyphony: you can hit every single key on the board at the same time and a note will come out. X voice polyphony: you can hit X number of keys at the same...

And i know this opinion may not be popular... but I would not pay even a LITTLE for an Opus 3. It might be my personal preference, but my GOD the thing had to be worked with precision to get a useable sound. I may not even accept one GIVEN to me. (unlike any other Moog I have ever had or played) Hm...

Source has everything i think it should.Otherwise it would have cost too much to produce. I am talking about what would you want added now, as far as digital fetures. The Encore people were on the right track, but their retrofit isn't terribly well done if the synth acts wierd after it is in there,...

Ultimate Moog Source?
Hi all, I just purchased a source, and read that the encore Midi kit you get 256 patches, but lose the sequencer and cassette interface. I have also heard that the kit causes the jog wheel to affect the sound negatively if used during performance. This stinks, so I don't want that, but I don't want ...

Well, I am talking to myself at this point. Apparently, Allen Organs has a large NOS cache of the divider chips the Opus uses. I didn't call them, just read this somewhere. I bought the owners manual in PDF form. Now I understand how the thing works, it really is like an organ! I'm not sure I like t...

i probably don't completely understand it. My take was that there are 3 oscillators, and it does polyphony by dividing the frrequency of each single oscillator to make more than one note. If you took out the divider, it would seem to me that you would then get that one note with no polyphony possibl...

Hey, I might be able to help you out with this. I been working on bringing an opus 3 back to life for almost a year now. I have come to a stand still because I have a dead rare Frequency Divider chip. I have seen some sort of reproduction version on some organ websites but they seem a little sketch...

Opus 3 schematics/repair manuals/ interior pictures
Hello, I recently bought an Opus 3 that the PO said is missing a board. Does anyone have pictures of the inside of a complete opus, so I can compare? Secondly, once I figure out the missing board, could someone send me a scan or closeup so I can reproduce it? Fianlly, if anyone has the service manua...
