A Rhodes suitcase in a wood finish? Mmmm, tasty.
Though if one was so inclined, tolex isn't TOO much of a hassle to work with. I personally am boggled by finishing wood.
A Moog and a Rhodes are made to be together. My Yamaha fills the void but... it's not the same.

Yet more Opus 3 trouble.
So, a while back I found the chorus section of my Opus 3 going tits-up. The effect itself is diminished, ruining my precious, Solina-slaying string machine! I pointed a local tech to the chorus modulation board and he found two out of three of the BBD ICs on it dead. Here's the rub: the BBD in quest...

Re: Interfacing Roland system 100 with new Moog equipmen --s
@jeepo: Not sure if it's the same for older Moog stuff, but I did find discrepancies when connecting an SH-09 to an MG-1. One's positive trig and one's negative trig; can't remember which is which but i remember that releasing a key on the Roland triggered the Moog. And they're scaled differently; t...

Re: Tell us about your rig
It's nice to be back in synth-land after being so busy with drumming as of late. Posting here for the first time in a while I was struck by MC's last comment. It occurred to me that my rig needs an update, since there are now 308 keys stuffed in my (bedroom) studio! That's like having three and a ha...

Can you tune an Opus 3? Plus: update!
Can anyone tell me if there's a way to tune an Opus? As in, tune individual pitches like other transistor organs/pianos? I've been inside and don't see any trim pots or anything like that. It seems like the intonation's a little buggy; even some major triads sound really distorted, most noticeably i...

When you set it to gate does the keyboard change the freq of the Osc? I hope I'm understanding the question right... Do you mean does it change the pitch of the VCO, or does it change the cutoff freq of the filter (i.e. does it track)? The answer to both questions is yes. But in gate mode, the &quo...

Ha! New problem!
Another exciting installment of "Let's Fix Jaunty's Broken Sh!t!!!" Nice to see you all back. Alright. So the synth with the broken traces? Got 'er cleaned up, back together, and plugged in. She roars to life! Everything's fantastic! Except... ...now the envelope generator doesn't work. Th...

If one had a mono and a poly and could only find piano or orchestra script, I suppose the thing to do would be to get the available sheet music, and set about arranging it to be played on your synths. It'll take ear work as well as reading. In Voltor's example, one could play the piano chord accompa...

Yes, Moog drones. Can't count how many times I've just and listened to two low, slightly dissonant VCOs just sit there and hum. Reminds me of a time a was kickin' it with some musician friends -- we were really stoned  -- and I had the MG-1 making some noises like that. Everybody grabbed se...

Or... you could put it in the hands of someone who will fix it, THEN use it. Save yourself the trouble! Just kidding. My MG-1 was my first analog, and I got quite familiar with its insides, and pretty versed in basic to moderate maintenance. But I'm definitely not a tech. The question to ask ...
