Have a look through this first: http://moogmusic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=406&highlight=sawtooth+lfo Basically you will need to attenuate your envelope CV after it is inverted (i.e add +5V) because the CV is not bipolar. (A bipolar CV would be +x to -x). It should work after this. Hope it helps...

Cheers MC, I did ask for it, didn't I? :) I personally always use regulated supplies. I guess I was saying that people read 200mA (sometimes expressed as a MAXIMUM (!!!)) and go and buy their Boss adaptor. I use, of all things, an old Sega Master System 9VDC adaptor with a heatsunk LM series reg and...

Here's a repeat of my previous post: I laugh when people pay, say, $30 for an adaptor. I don't know what the story is in the States, but here in NZ it's ridiculous. Now any EE feel free to correct me, but I am quite sure that the current on the adaptor does NOT have to be e.g 200mA "coz that's ...

After a gig once, my brother (a drummer) dropped his cowbell stand onto my 102. Now the wood is cracked, along with the Drive LED. But if it still works, it's all good I say.

But surely each slider sends a certain CV to the filter VCA? I'm not saying that it could be done without mods, but if you could somehow patch each slider's CV to a single jack, you would have an 8-step sequencer.

MuRF as an analog sequencer?

Hey there folks Now, I don't own a MuRF (got 101, 102, 103, 104SD) but was thinking about sequencers. Do you reckon that instead of using the sliders to control the filter's level, they could send an 8-stepped sequence to other CV gear? I would suppose some mod.s would have to be done. Just a thought.

Wow. And I thought there were none left. #231, bought in New Zealand. I wonder if anyone else has one here? Price paid = near enough to $880US. Very worth it though.

The blue backlights make this synth at least twice as good to play!!! It's just a little something special; if you don't belive me, go an play one in a pitch dark room.

Peace

Yep, they're all looking pretty cool!!! I think I'll have to save a little more $$ first. All in good time... As far as possible, especially live, we are going to use real, analog instruments. They just bring a special feeling and energy into the music, as I'm sure you've all experienced. Thanks for...

Cheers guys. Just checking though: can a new modular setup produce the same kind of sounds as a 2600? I really want a totally tripped out noise making machine. Or are there any other vintage synths that would do the same trick?

Advice: Whether to buy a damaged ARP 2600

I know this is a Moog forum, but I thought I'd ask here first, rather than some upitty site. BTW I do already own an AE and MF101,2 and 3. I have been in contact with a guy (in New Zealand, where I live) who has a wealth of old analog gear e.g TB-303, TR-606, ARP Oddessey/2600, Juno 6/60 and even a ...

Yup, that was exactly what I was thinking. Moog could possibly also make a 16ch poly-expander, as it would be cheaper than buying 16 (15 if you already had a Voyager) RMEs or single channel poly-expanders

How would you control each setting? Would it be possible to have 16 voices playing and twiddle knobs at the same time? I.e would you have enough MIDI channels? (You would have to be some kind of poly-octapus to do this though).
