i don't have the picture in front of me, but i believe the yessongs tour had at least 2 minimoogs, grand piano, 2mellotrons, hammond c-2, RMI electric piano and a sound effects device that provided the explosions for wakeman's solo.

the ciruitry takessome time... it's gonna be fatter than the prophet5 (which i owned for a long time)... you may have to anticipate the attack envelope if you're used to digital. let it breath and record it to a sequencer unquantized!

i believe it's a hammond with percussion stops full on.
the only other thing it could be is the rmi piano's organ sound.

i just saw wakeman's one-man show from 2nd row. no ,minimoog on stage at all. he could have used it for the 6 wives stuff and journey.

i got to ask him why when the show was over ( a big thrill to talk to my childhood hero), and he said that because it was a monophonic instrument, it wouldn't work ...

the voyager presets - anne bolyn, aragon, topographic,... etc... are a good starting point. they even sound more authentic than rick's do.
wakeman uses that GEM keyboard which sounds GREAT for the church organ sounds in AWAKEN. i think if he had a mind to, he would stock it with mellotron sounds ...

yessongs has some sound effects that were triggered by the mellotron and i believe another audio device sitting next to it.
for instance, all of the bomb sounds at the end of "excerpts" were just taped effects. his minimoog programming is nothing special, it's his intricate scales and arpeggios that ...

a librarian sysex would be nice

how about midi clock or tempo controlling osc pitches, or better yet. each osc (+resonance)has its own midi channel.

just "send midi clock"... voyager will sense it if the patch is wired to do so. then get into the menu where the clock divider lies and mess with the settings til you find what you like.

i saw wakeman is USA last year with NO voyager.
i don't know how he gigged all these years without one or two.
