Re: Moog Prodigy Advice

Just to give you guys an update--I sold the Prodigy for $450 via Craigslist in Nashville. You know, if you're wondering what to price a broken synth at in a Southern U.S. Market. Interest was not very high. I had 3 offers (one of them a low-ball "I'll give you $100). *Shrug*. Now to use the cas...

Re: Moog Prodigy Advice

It doesn't make any sound at all. The LED lights up.

I have no knowledge of electronics, so I haven't investigated it.

Moog Prodigy Advice

Hi all. I'm looking for some advice. I have a Moog Prodigy 336A. Cosmetically really nice, only missing one slider, no other real cosmetic issues. But... I turned it on one day and no sound! :( (It worked fine one day, stayed in tune, played like a dream, then...nothing. Oh the pains of owning a vin...

My LP Stage II came in a box that simply said Stage Edition, and had a picture of the Stage I on it. But the synth is Stage II...black back, USB, etc.

Maybe they just didn't design a new box.

I got it! And though Nova Musik's ebay listing said Stage 1, I opened the box to find a shiny stage II! And the invoice says stage II, so it doesn't seem to be a mistake. Hooray for no need to update the os! First impressions are good overall. It isn't quite as warm as my poor little Prodigy, and it...

I just checked my tracking number...

My LP is out for delivery!

It's going to be a long day at work...and a late night of synthesizing. 8)

You do a live.com search until you see an add for a percentage off on the product on ebay (in the ads box near the top of live.com. Click it, it takes you to ebay, and you have to do buy it now and use paypal within 60 minutes of initiating the live session (at least, ebay says 60 mins...I think mic...

Thanks for everyone's advice! I took the plunge...Novamusik had an ebay sale $1050 for brand new Stage 1's, which will still be eligible for the CP-251. And I used my 10% off Ebay coupon, got it down to $950, and I took the advice and did it through Microsoft Live Cashback...just got my message I'm ...

Well, bigcitymusic has a Stage 1 on their ebay store for $1,119. I have an ebay coupon that would get it to $1,019. The stage 1 can be updated to get all the functions of the stage 2, correct?

Ha ha, I see a fellow Alabaman. Yeah, my wife got a good job in Huntsville. It's not bad, but it's a big change from Austin, TX. And the music stores have banjos where I think the synths should be...

It could be something as simple as a cable that went bad over night, odd i know but it happens :). Make sure the cable is inserted all the way on the Prodigy, mixer and or amp. It is still plugged in right ? :):) Check the amp and or mixer are they working with other gear. Try a pair of head phones...

I agree, keep your prodigy. Perhaps email kevin lightner on here and see what he would charge to service it. Also, start a new thread about your issues and see what people say about it. It could very well be that your tech didn't know what he was doing. Eric I think the only Moog Kevin services are...

Should I buy an LP?

Hey gang. I have a dilemma. My Prodigy stopped working mysteriously (Like, it was fine and one day I turned it on and no sound comes out :( ). I have had to get it repaired twice in the last four years, and though I love it, repairs are a pain (and I just moved to a new city, leaving my trusted synt...

I have always considered arpeggiators as a thing for people who doesn't know how to program a sequenser. But maybe that's not fair ... They're different animals. I have a Juno-60. And I have a Roland DCB-MIDI converter box. Sometimes I sequence the Juno. But sometimes I use the arpeggiator. ...
