past auctions on ebay are a pretty good source for what you can expect to get for it.
and ebay is probably the best place to sell it.

is there a midi kit for the opus3?

this might be a dumb question, but i know very little about what it takes to make analog synths midi capable.
does anyone know if it can be done to the opus3?
thanks.

take it to a tech.
i think opus's are pretty simple inside, so i imagine any tech with experience in analog boards should be able to make it work right.

sorry i don't have a better solution.

i too have that same curse. it seems like just as i decide to start shopping for a particular piece of gear, everyone and their dog decides they also want it. making the ebay auctions go way over what they're worth, and/or making them virtually impossible to find. phew! i'm relieved to know i'm not ...

actually, yeah, on every moog i've had with more than one oscillator, it's always the 2nd one that drifts.

My Sonic Six was somewhat unstable... in the sense that it did have to be tuned once it was turned on, and perhaps later if it was used for a long time. But let's keep some perspective here: "Unstable" really truly means that you have to tune it a lot... like the Moog modulars, where you ...

you must have good luck cause my rogue was terrible... it would go in and out of tune depending on your proximity to it... i'm not kidding.
my opus 3 is rock solid though, i wish they were all like that.
There's really only a few that I seem to remember being remarkably unstable (prodigy, minimoog)...
that's funny, every analog synth i've owned has had trouble staying in tune... and most of them were moogs. :)

so would you say the oscillators are stable? i mean, i know the ms20 has some nice features but i would be serious about getting one if it had a reputation for being reliable.

i'll keep my eye out. are they known for being stable? or do you think you just had the luck of the draw?(i guess bad luck in your case)

Keith... I don't know what the MS-20 is going for today, but if it's still under $1000, that's my suggestion. unfortunately it might be too late! http://cgi.ebay.com/KORG-MS20-MS-20-Monophonic-Vintage-Synthesizer-WOHC_W0QQitemZ320022958116QQihZ011QQcategoryZ38071QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

yeah, like eric, i tour with my synths, so stability is crucial, my prodigy holds up for the time being, but it would be nice to have a dual osc mono synth i don't have to worry about drifting out of tune in the middle of a song. if anyone can suggest one i'm all ears!
