Apart from the colour, maple has a much closer grain texture than ash. It's therefore possible to get a smoother finish to it than ash. Also maple is rock hard, especially compared with walnut, although that won't make much difference to you unless you're planning to chisel into it sometime!

It didn't overwrite any of mine. However I made sure I had backed them up before updating the system. It wouldn't do your nerves any good to update without some sort of record of your sounds.

Gooseneck Lamp

Do I have to get the official Moog branded lamp or will any 12v gooseneck lamp work? I tried one made by Numark but it didn't even lock onto the Voyager properly. Did I just get a duff one?

I'd like to see the LFO MIDI clock divider values as note values, as the pitch bend wheel is. I think this is such a great feature of the Voyager and it would make it more musically useful.
