FW 1.5 has an annoying bug where toggling unison resets output routing.
Where's the best place to report this?

Pressing the SHIFT button at the bottom right of your display allows you to make much finer adjustments to many of the parameters.

But like I opined above, I think they have bitten off more than they can chew and either don't have the human resources/ability to fix it, or due to a design flaw, they can't fix it.
