Nicely done! That is a beautiful sound. And Merry Christmas!

Re: Share your synthesizer music!
I finished a new song with the Minimoog covering lead and bass. In the original sketching out of the song, I used a VA synth plugin with a moog-ish emulation. It was overly boppy/happy sounding for some reason. Then when I recorded the lead and bass on the actual hardware, it very much changed the v...

Re: Share your synthesizer music!
This probably doesn't really qualify as a real song or perhaps really as music. It is a short "jam" in the key of D. I was experimenting to see how it would sound playing the Model D along with the other 3 synths that were plugged in at the moment. The Model D does the lead through this. A...

Re: Eventide Space Pedal
I have been playing around enough with the Eventide H9 such that I can say that I quite like it. I really love the fact that it incorporates the functionality of several Eventide pedals. The actual physical interface is a bit more involved than I am interested in dealing with; a somewhat baffling se...

Re: Black Key Velocity Problem
Update on this: I ended up sending the unit to Moog, and they fixed it! The problem did indeed repro for them. The solution was "... flash the Eprom, re-install the firmware, and then re-do the CV calibrations". I had done a firmware reinstall during the "debugging" process with ...

Re: Share your synthesizer music!
Here is a song that I finished recently (a couple months ago). I had the new Model D, my first Moog, on order and was waiting impatiently and wanted to use it on this song. But it kept on not being available, so I ended up using a Prophet 6 for most of the parts on it (bass, pads, some lead). https:...

Re: Eventide Space Pedal
I haven’t used the H9 enough yet to identify “what” is different. It’s mostly just that I can hear that each of the settings (patches) I’ve played with sound unique in some way from the Strymon ones (whether reverb or delay etc.) I’m not very good at describing sounds and why I like one thing better...

Re: Eventide Space Pedal
VCO - I think you would like the Strymon Timeline for that purpose. I think I mentioned it earlier on this thread or another that I have been using the Timeline with the Model D, and it is pretty fantastic. And just this morning, I was able to start playing with the new Eventide H9. I haven’t been a...

Re: Eventide Space Pedal
What are the Strymon pedals like ? As with all of these types of things, I suppose it is quite subjective. I really like them. I have my Prophet 6 “permanently” routed through the Mobius and BigSky. It makes for a big rich sound that I am very happy with. When recording a song, I use less of them s...

Re: Eventide Space Pedal
I have been looking at the Eventide pedals for a while and just ordered the H9. I have been in the Strymon camp for a while and have three of their pedals. The Eventide H9 is kind of at "end of life" but (as I understand it) has the same algorithms as the Space and 3 others (modfactor, tim...

Re: Black Key Velocity Problem
Thanks for the link with the pics; this is good reference information. I don’t see anything in those that I am smart enough to consider fiddling with for this issue. Given that it is new and the risk of me breaking something is non-zero, my current plan is just to send it in and let the knowledgeabl...

Re: Human/robot barriers and a Hello
Just an update - I thought maybe it was my old computer that was making me have to prove my humanity and log in again (2 separate things) but no - I got a new computer and it's the same thing. I’m kind of wondering if it is based on the IP address of the source computer. I have accessed the forum f...

Re: Black Key Velocity Problem
Does your aftertouch work correctly? It’s possible that the ribbon connections are acting intermittent since it might be not making a complete connection. The aftertouch does seem to be fine. It works like others have described in the other thread going on about aftertouch. It is kind of an on or o...

Re: Black Key Velocity Problem
The support rep I have been working with does agree there is a problem with the keyboard. While I would have preferred it to be some kind of stupid user error on my part, I'm relieved not to have to send more videos and pictures of settings and velocities and such. But before I have to send it back ...

Re: Human/robot barriers and a Hello
Thank you for the welcome! And, yes, the spam bots and such are definitely a big problem. I guess if the existing barriers on this forum are reducing that stuff, then it is a win. One of the moderators on the Sequential forum said that he had to delete a fair number of spam posts every single day. A...
