Re: Model D Saw Ramp Up on Oscilloscope Weirdness
Your observations are correct. The signal path from the OSC to the output is non-inverting and the path through the modulation mixer is inverting. The sawtooth/ramp graphics on the panel correspond correctly to the direction expected in the modulation path. However, the pulse graphics are inconsiste...

Re: Question on SER#1 and #2 Moog modules
I would suggest that you contact EMEAPP IN Pennsylvania. They seem to have the most extensive historical knowledge and expert consultants who might be able to evaluate your father’s modules.

Re: Matriarch osc retrig
Can you check when you connect gate output to sync input and use osc 2 only is te cycle starts from zero cycle/osc retrig? Can someone check it for me please. The answer is no. The main oscillators on the Matriarch do not have “sync input” jacks. So they cannot be synchronized in any way other than...

That’s weird advice. Doubtful information, with an odd twist of enthusiasm. Seems like it was written by an AI.

Re: Matriarch Midi-to-CV to possible?
The old FW updates were done this way: https://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/moog-matriarch-firmware-update-and-calibration/ Don’t know why Moog support tends to remove things from their web site. They are mistaken if they think it reduces customer questions and support issues. It’s really d...

Mine works the same (FW 1.30). I think it is normal bandpass behavior, but do not know how it compares to prior FW.

Re: Very much a beginner Mavis question
Sounds like an issue in your Mavis. One possibility is that the normaling connection in the 1V/Oct jack is misbehaving. Try patching a cable from the keyboard OUT to the 1V/Oct input. This might work around the problem. If that works, then maybe plug and unplug a cable into the 1V/Oct jack several t...

Re: Moog Matriarch KB CV OUT to Use Chromatically
The filter cutoff input is summed with the internal CV sources (envelope and tracking). You should be able to play chromatically without an external patch cord. Just set the envelope amount to zero and adjust the keyboard tracking amount near full. This should allow filter pitch tracking over a coup...

Re: My Moog matriarch sounds a lot quieter when it's connected to my audio interface
Sorry it didn’t help, but I’m not surprised. It’s a puzzling issue that I’ve read reported on occasional units. One workaround you can also try is to use the Eurorack outputs. Should be TS style connection, very hot level, a little brighter. You will also lose the master volume operation.

Re: Problem with 2022 minimoogs aftertouch
I get near a full semitone offset, but only when the mod wheel is full-on. This offset arises in the modulation sources and the mod mixer circuits (before the mod wheel). I’m pretty sure this occurs for all vintage models. Only MMD16+MUSE eliminates the offset in this configuration. When I have some...

Re: Sustain cutting off all notes?
You might try changing the global setting for keyboard priority. I think last-note priority is default, and it would need to keep a (limited) queue of pressed/sustained notes to work properly. Maybe, for your situation, low note priority would work differently. But maybe not in the way you want. :?:

Re: Weird Phaser???
Also, if you want multiple oscillators but more subtle phasing, it helps to avoid mixing the oscillators with the same strength. Back off on the strength of OSC 2.

Re: My Moog matriarch sounds a lot quieter when it's connected to my audio interface
Have you tried a plain TS cable? The Matriarch uses TRS output as an impedance balanced connection. With compatible interfaces or mixers, this works well. I can’t think of any reason for the interface to not be able to handle a pseudo-balanced signal properly. But, on the other hand, there is no cle...
