Re: NAMM 2024: Will Moog have any new announcements during the show?

Indeed nice, that Korg. But out of (financial) reach for most people. Still hoping for the release of a 3 voice true polyphonic synth from Moog. Basically a Subsequent 25 with some true polyphony. Keyboard not even needed, like the Minitaur. I am sure many producers would love that!

Re: A new possible 8 voice Moog in the works?

There was / is definitely a market for small or medium analogue synths, and 3 voice polyphony is really easy to obtain. I have no clue how difficult it is to make a 3 voice synth. But if it is easy, my advice is to make a 3 voice Subsequent 25. The keyboard isn't even needed. Does anyone know what ...

Re: A new possible 8 voice Moog in the works?

Indeed there are ways to get similar sounds. However (and I did not mention it in my previous post): I like to turn the knobs of an analog Moog synth too. And if that (3 voice polyphonic) Moog synth simply does not exist, it is a bit frustrating. When Moog released the Minimoog Model D, I was like &...

Re: A new possible 8 voice Moog in the works?

Thnx, indeed I am really looking for “true” 3 voice polyphony. I have a Subsequent 25 that has 2 voice paraphony. I think it is nice and use it sometimes but it has its limitations. Also from the business/financial perspective I think it would be good for Moog to develop a desktop 3 voice polyphonic...

Re: A new possible 8 voice Moog in the works?

That video is not online anymore. But regarding this topic: only few people will need 8 voices. I still think a 3 voice polyphonic Moog synth will make a lot of people happy. It can be a desktop model, like a big Minitaur. Why 3 voices? You need that for basic chords. See also: https://forum.moogmus...

Re: New Moog in the works? "LABYRINTH"

Indeed, let's see. But whatever happens, I really hope that the next Moog synth will be something that *many* musicians want and can use. Not another Minimoog Model D like reissue of a decades old monophonic machine that is not interesting for the majority of users I own 2 Moogs now since around a y...

Re: After the Moog One ?

I noticed the Moog One is not available at several (online) stores in the Netherlands and Germany too. But I do not know if the product is discontinued. For me and many around me the Moog One was not an option: too many possibilities/options and therefore a price range outside what we want to pay. I...

Minitaur wooden sides with dust cover?

Hello! This week my Minitaur arrived
I also ordered a dust cover (made by Decksaver).
I would like to have the Minitaur wooden sides but I am not sure if this works with the dust cover. Does anyone know whether this will fit together?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Suggestion: 3 voice polyphonic analog Moog

Well, I clearly do not agree with one oscillator. 2 oscillators are a must for me ;) Actually all I need is a 3 voice Subsequent 25. The keyboard isn’t even needed  For many (house/techno) producers that would be awesome Maybe some kind of custom shop would be nice to serve the needs of man...

Re: Sequential Trigon-6!

I agree with that too. I have a subsequent 25 and will buy a Minitaur in December which is also monophonic. I hope the people at Moog will take suggestions as in these 2 threads into account….!
I think it is really a gap in what Moog offers and also commercially very interesting.

Re: Sequential Trigon-6!

I agree with this request/wish! It has similarities with my post: “Suggestion: 3 voice polyphonic Moog”. https://forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=35726 Also: many people use soft-synths nowadays and buying a much more expensive *monophonic* Moog is not attractive. Three voice polyphony wi...

Re: Suggestion: 3 voice polyphonic analog Moog

Thnx for your suggestion! I also have a Sequential rev 8 which is pretty okay. But: since I have a Subsequent 25 (earlier this year) I really want to have thát with 3 voice polyphony. And many people making house/techno will love that too. For us the sound is the only thing that counts. All other th...

Re: How important are dust covers for the long-term care of synths?

I had this same question so unfortunately I cannot answer it. But I did buy a dust cover for my Subsequent 25.

My guess is that dust can only do harm if it gets into the pot-meters?

Someone from Moog probably knows the answer.

how to get the INIT-patch on the subsequent 25?

Hi,

The Moog Subsequent 25 does have an INIT-patch that can be called via a combination of several buttons. However, I forgot what the combination is. It is not in the manual. Also, the INIT patch is not in the Moog Subsequent editor.

Thanks in advance!
