Don't know if he will do this since it is a business, but you can have him declare it as a gift or a commercial sample. No customs taxes.

How can something that is completely analog not SOUND analog? If a synth is made with all analog ICs then wouldn't it, by definition, sound analog? It may not sound the same as as a discrete circuit. If that is better or worse is completely subjective, but a discrete circuit not more "analog&qu...

I think by "distort" he means overdrive.

Yes, they can be pushed to saturate quite nicely for a warm, analog overdrive.

I second the Electro. There is also a rack version. The Rhodes sounds are very good, not nearly as expressive as the real thing, but the Electro is a keyboardist's best friend when it comes to transporting. Its shortcomings in authenticity are more than made up for in its light weight, portability a...

Sweet! I'd love to have this option. Probably not likely to happen, but a fun idea none the less.

Hey, CTRLSHFT. What software are you using to make these mock-up? They are very well done.

Of course, there are even MORE creative ways to play an instrument. I bet this technique would work well with the touchscreen:

Here is a quote from a recent eBay auction for the original 104. Some people will say anything to hock their goods: Quote: "THESE UNITS ARE VERY HARD TO FIND. THIS ONE IS IN EXC CONDITION,SOUNDS GREAT-LOOKS GREAT.IF YOUR READING THIS,YOU ALLREADY KNOW WHAT YOUR LOOKING AT. THERE IS NO BETTER AN...

The sad truth is that how many original Minimoogs (or any other 70s analogs) do you think are going to survive another 30 years? Sad to say, but these things weren't made to last forever, no matter how well they were built. I mean, many of the vintage synths you can find are barely holding on as it ...

It's the same with anything currently being made... companies insist that it's too expensive to make things out of wood, etc... despite EVERYTHING having been made out of wood a few decades ago. Wood is expensive because it requires skill and time to work with. Not to mention the fact that quality ...

You can sync any LFO with a hard sync to a midi clock if you have a midi interface I pretty sure this is what the Voyager LFO does. Hard sync is when a master oscillator (in this case, divided down MIDI clock) retriggers the slave oscillator (the LFO). Here is the hard sync definition from Wikipedi...
