Re: Just watched Fedex drop a Moog 55
Hey Kevin- Sorry to hear about this. I had to have a grand piano moved about 500 miles. It had to go down a steep, S shaped 1/4 mile driveway. The piano guys arrived on time, and had it knocked apart, swaddled with moving pads, and strapped to a 6 balloon-tired 'dolly' in about 15 minutes. No troubl...

Re: How do you know when it's at perfect pitch?
Heh- been following this for awhile. Decided to settle my own bet as to MY hearing. So I bought a SNARK "all instrument tuner", model SN-4, from Amazon. $14 USD. Smaller than a deck of cards. Lots of features. (www.Snarktuners.com) Wonderful display, and fast response time. Even fetches no...

Re PC Recommendations
The hotter you buy, the longest before you have to upgrade is the general advice. A 4gb RAM, dual (at least) core 2.9ghz processor, or better, A pci-e video card with 1 gb memory ,( I like ASUS brand, with separate cooler fins/fan)) And a 1TB drive. I prefer 2 drives (Seagate Enterprise) in RAID, Bu...

Re: Laptop PC Recommendations
Hi- I have the m-audio interface, and it works very well with Midi-Ox on PCs. FWIW- If a computer is going to be stationary, why not a desktop unit ? You can mix and match cards, monitors, and upgrades to the hardware for years. Laptops aren't so flexible, but then I like to tweak things (and knobs....

Re: Voyager is analog, it is also digital
My 2005 Voyager was making some really strange sounds, so I opened it up to take a look. Turns out I had to order a replacement tube set from Moog. But it still makes strange sounds...

Re: The New Guy
You better take a nap. You'll be awake for quite awhile! I'm sure many of us will want to hear how you feel about your purchase. I use a Peavey KB 100 as amplifier, and a 15" woofer makes my Tribute edition just knock things off the walls.

Re: Stage II Field Upgrade CD (Blank)
Are you saying that your PC doesn't even recognize there's a disk in the drive ? Is "auto-play" disabled ? If that's the case, I'd try it on another PC, or upgrade the drivers for your CD/DVD unit. As I said earlier, IF there's data on the disc, there is, in my experience, almost always a ...

Re: Stage II Field Upgrade CD (Blank)
No idea what data is on the disc. But it is not at all un common that a windows OS cannot 'see' data written on a burnable CD. You would need to have the original program, or one that is 'universal' to close the disk, or read it in 'open' format. It isn't usually that difficult to find ~some~ progra...

Re: New Voyager owner (Moog/Rhodes video)
Very fine work ! Hard to believe that you "just got" your voyager- You have a really nice touch with it. And while I have never played a Rhoades, I am in awe at the sustain and tone. An excellent combination indeed !
Thanks !

Re: Stage II Field Upgrade CD (Blank)
Likely the disc wasn't "closed" after burning. Any good CD burning software should be able to do that for the disk. It would be best if you contacted Moog to find what software they used. Roxio is fairly popular, but there are many others. (assuming you are using PC.)
