Re: FEATURE REQUESTS!

Something I would really love would be for the sequencer to be more integrated in the mod map. For instance, it is restricted to being simply off or on via the one button; you can't gate it with the keyboard like on other synths, afaik. Also, when the transpose mode is set to on, it will do so ...

New Bug Just Dropped!

I thought I'd share with you guys and warn you. I'm half-arsed to even bother contacting Moog at this point, but I found a concerning bug with the sequencer today. Simply put, it started automatically transposing recorded notes down by like 3 octaves. Very bizarre, but thankfully restarting the ...

Re: Latency, Dropped Notes, and Clocking (Update from Moog Music)

I’m not sure if this is intentional (don’t know why it would be) but the mod oscillator caps at a certain pitch, making it impossible to play the highest notes with the other oscillators. Considering it’s a VCO I’m not sure what’s holding it back, or if it’s even something that can be fixed with ...

12db/octave options for both filters. I'm assuming disabling poles could achieve this.

This would need some different design of the schematics. So all Muse would need to change their voice boards. And there needs to be a free pin available on the voice board connectors.

This is a world ...

Re: Just got a Voyager, Slew mod in U.K. ?

I have the schematics. This forum's rules don't very clearly state what's allowed to be attached to posts, but send me a message and I can send it to you. It's a fairly simple mod.

Trouble getting CV inputs and outputs working

I wanted to use the LFO from my Voyager to modulate my Muse, but am not hearing any change in sound. I mapped a mod slot to use CV IN 1 as a source, and some arbitrary destination like pitch, set it to 100, but still nothing. I double checked and the LFO is indeed working and sending a signal, but ...

Sequencer/Arp Modulation

So far, I have been very happy with the Muse, but I’ve noticed some limitations in terms of modulation. It’s not as simple as taking a patch cable A to input B. As advanced as the sequencer claims to be, I’m a little disappointed that it can’t be modulated in any capacity. It’s not an option for a ...

Re: Voyager vs modular

I have never had the pleasure of hearing a modular directly, but I like using two Voyagers in unison to get a really big sound. That plus some good spring reverb makes it sound like an old modular system. Bonus points if you can make the glide exponential (I believe the Voyager has a combination of ...

Unstable Attenuators on Voyager XL

So it seems the attenuators on my Moog have gone bad. They're very unstable in terms of the voltage they send. It is especially noticeable when patched to the pitch input. Impossible to stay in tune. The attenuator on the four-input mixer doesn't have this issue so something must be wrong.

My ...

Re: Lag Processor to Get Modular-Style Portamento?

Ok so I think I've figured out what my problem is. The voyager XL's KBD pitch out, when patched to the pitch input, has an additive effect to the keyboard's CV per note already built in. I was hoping to use the lag processor to make my own glide effect, as pitch change through the lag processor ...

Lag Processor to Get Modular-Style Portamento?

I was wondering if there was a way to use the Voyager's lag processor (or eurorack module or otherwise) to change the kind of portamento/glide on the voyager. If I recall correctly, the old modular systems had an exponential glide, which isn't a feature on the voyager, so I was wondering if there ...

Re: Voyager TNT (Tips & Tricks) - Oscilllator 3 Out Of The Box

Sorry to necro this thread, but I find it very interesting. As others have said, you can technically access all 3 oscillators via PGM Source and the ring/tip cable.

I decided to try this out. It doesn't feel like the attenuator is doing enough because it comes out extremely loud regardless of ...

Re: Karn Evil 9 3rd Impression Arpeggiating sound on Minimoog...

Sorry to wake this old thread, but I also wanted to get this sound. I came up with a work around using 2 synthesizers and MIDI. I'll attach my tutorial explaining the patch. If anyone has ideas as to how to improve this I'm happy to hear them.

Voyager XL Patch (My First Post)

Hi everyone,

I am new to the forum and somewhat new to synthesis, but I thought I'd share a patch I just came up with. I was wondering whether it was possible (on the XL) to delay LFO modulation triggering when a note is played (i.e. you press a key and it doesn't start modulating until a second ...
