Hi Sweep. Not too sure about the 700 price tag. I continuously monitor MS20 sales as been looking for a MS10 for about a year now. Most advertised MS20s seem to be about £550 and even then you see the same synths being advertised repeatedly. I could be wrong as like I say, my main focus is on the MS...

Yeah, I got my AE from Turnkey also. Sure there were issues and sure, they could have handled these issues better but I think Turnkey get 90% of their flack because they are No.1 and the English love to knock whoever is No.1. Im not defending them but I suspect they are no worst than any other shop,...

Hi - my Voyager is permanently wired up to a MS20 and vice verses. I think they sound great together as one is smooth and classy (can be dirty also) and the other is a wild violent beast. And despite the popular misconception, the MS20 is total compatible with Volt synths like the Voyager - its only...

I think people get confused as they are trying to listen for the whining out of the speakers. As mentioned the noise comes from the actually lighting and is definitely has no effect of the audio outputs. A few techies have given accounts of why this whine occurs and it is my understanding that all b...

Hmmm, so am I understanding correctly that you can install 3.x on a Voyager that doesn't have the new hardware upgrade? And that the only difference in functionality is that the preset storage is still only 128 patches? Would I be able to change patches using the ext. mix knob? Yes, you are correct...

Extended warranties suck.. You are simply paying for paranoia. XYZ Limited: Each time I toss this coin and it lands on Heads, you have to pay $190. However, if you pay us $100 per toss, you are insured against any payouts. Mr Not Very Clever: I would hate the idea of getting a $190 bill - I have bet...

..btw, Im also putting together a live set for May this year. Was going to be based around a MPC1000 but decided to get a laptop as I sequence in Live and a lot simpler to just take Live out to gigs.. Im really want to take my Voyager AE out live but a) it weights a ton and ill be getting everywhere...

..it would be nice if the Voyager could send CV/Gate coming from a different and independent MIDI channel like on the Waldorf Pulse+. On the Pulse you can even decide if the outs are Hz or Volts and there is an additional CV aux for modulation stuff.

But not a big deal..

thx, but the future Retro is a synth, not what I'm looking for. Okay, why not look at the fr777 as a CV or MIDI sequencer with a free synth! I also have a 777 and its a nasty little monkey.. If you really dont like the idea of getting a 777, how about the Mobius ? This is just the sequencer part of...

Hi again Jyoti. Just ready your replies. Yeah, I guess after a while you have the right to say 'sod them'.. Even more bad luck about the faulty PEK. What are you going to do about that as I believe Turnkey are the only UK supplier? I have an Evolver and finally got to demo the PEK in Turnkey about a...

Re: Buying A VX-351 NOT from Turnkey?

Hi - Sorry to here about your story. I got my Voyager and 351 from Turnkey and yep, there were some issues! However, these were dealt with very satisfactory once I got past the front line 'sales' people. I decided to ask Moog for their thoughts on my AE's non-illuminating facia and really was not ex...

3.1 Compare Function (Again!)

Firstly, I apologies about asking this. There is clearly a lot of 'compare' discussions in here but I really can not find an answer to this one.. Just upgraded to 3.1 and all is fine (like the load the file B, A, then C - nice touch!) Anyway, got rid of the nonsense Compare patch after reading the a...

..as mentioned above, yeah Moog did confirm to me that it was hardware. But just to add to this: The biggest bit of evidence that we have relating to this being a hardware issue is the fact that it still exists! Moog are a very conscientious company and to them, reputation is everything. If this was...

My mate reckons my Voyager is very slightly out of tune. Heard too many horror stories about Turnkey though. Still, not as bad as my Prophet-5 where the fine tune is almost in the 10:00 position. You should not have to include Turnkey but rather, contact their people directly. They are: www.c...

Re: Tuning at home

I'm interested in retuning my Voyager, but I don't fancy shipping it back to the states from the UK since it's not *that* badly out of whack. Hi Purusha Out of interest, what do you mean "not that badly out of whack"? Do you mean your fine tune has to be set at something other than 12oClo...
