Try a different cable. Doesn't make much sense, but I think GM is pretty sensitive to what the clock signal looks like (level or length). I finally got around to running the calibration process on my GrandMother. I should have done this day one! After calibration, the 2 VCOs were as perfectly in-tune as a pair of VCOs can get. Have you tried to reset your GrandMother (GM)? I had mine in a bad state and that was the only thing that helped. Press and hold the HOLD button. While doing that press the sync button for a second. Now keep holding the highest black key (A#2) and press the lowest black key (F#0). You should see som...

I checked with a kill-a-watt meter.
9.5W (in US using 110V & 60 Hz but that shouldn't matter much).
Same power consumption if the GM is playing or just sitting idle. The volume control didn't change the power either.
