Re: Matriarch – Dirty Duo patch not working?

I have tried the patch, and I can hear a difference between Noise input at 0 or 3pm. But it's a very subtle difference, and I can hear it only when playing a melody (i.e. Filter-envelope being triggered) and not on an individual note.
So a very subtle effect, but a nice one.

Re: Matriarch: multiple oscs sound is phasey, volume and bass loss

A slightly detune (beating) is "standard" and enriches the sound alot ^^ This. You can eliminate it by hard-syncing e.g. Osc2 to Osc1 and giving it a slightly lower frequency. Phase between the two oscs will be constant, and the sound will be dull like from a 1980s home computer. Temperat...

Re: Arp/seq - round Robin mode on with reset

Seq works as expected here: Osc1 is used for the primary note in each sequence step, osc2/3/4 are used for additional notes. So you will only hear anything from osc2/3/4 if you have any chords in your sequence. Arp plays only 1 note at a time (and resets the osc counter on each step), so of course o...

Re: Matriarch Sequence Keyboard Control

Parameter 2.5 "Sequence Keyboard Control" does just what it is supposed to: It disconnects the sequencer from the *keyboard* so that you no longer start or transpose the sequence from the keyboard. But it seems you are looking for something different, disconnect the sequencer from the *syn...

Re: Is Moog Tech Support an Urban Myth?

I have sent several emails with bug reports, technical questions or pre-sale questions to moog support. I received an automated answer to my very first email, but nothing since then (not even automated replies). Either they have blacklisted me immediately, or all further emails have been attached to...

Re: Pitch In Bug?

So you are talking about Matriarch? It has 4 oscillators that are always controlled by keyboard/seq/midi 2 separate oscillators that are always independent of keyboard/seq/midi 2 oscillators (filter feedback) that have adjustable keyboard dependency 0-100% access to hundreds of oscillators in eurora...

Re: Updates on Claravox Centennial Theremin Delivery

Well, there has been an official update to the official update at the link posted above. And several people/dealers have received different (and partly contradictory) messages from Moog, from "next week" to "October" or "we don't know". But -- just discovered -- the use...

Re: Matriarch Delay: Time & Space twisting

Yes, it is a feature of the bucket brigade devices used for the delay. The signal from the input is passed along a number of "buckets" driven by a clock signal. If the clock is constant, the input signal will appear at the output some time later (with some inevitable distortion). But if yo...

Re: Updates on Claravox Centennial Theremin Delivery

More up-to-date information can be read at https://www.moogmusic.com/news/claravox ... ion-update. Mostly marketing gibberish and concommittal dates (they even left out the year when production will begin...). But at least they said SOMETHING after months of silence.

Re: Matriarch firmware update failure

When the Arp led blinks orange, it means the invalidate and erase files were processed correctly, and it is receiving data. That's good. Standard things to try now: Try again (restart from invalidate file) try a different USB cable and different USB port on the computer check the downloaded and unpa...

Re: Matriarch - how can I see which firmware I'm running? Can't erase my firmware

Hi, if you have sent the INVALIDATE file successfully, the only part of the firmware running is the bootloader. The actual OS has already been invalidated and Matriarch won't work as a synth. All it does is blink the Rate led and wait for ERASE and FIRMWARE files on USB or Din-Midi. To see the curre...

Re: Matriarch: please allow stacked position of oscillators

Hmm, I think this would be difficult to to use to get the desired sound. What if you play just one note (e.g. an intro on the right hand without bass)? Would it play on the first Osc, because it is the lowest note played, or on Osc#4 because it is the highest note, or on all? There could also be som...
