Re: Matriarch - Delay module ringing?

Bummer to read that Moog is saying it’s “inherent with the design” when it’s an obvious issue. I think Moog is in a bit of a "no win" situation with this one. If they "fixed" this behavior by removing that artifact then they would get (fair) criticism that that is how real analo...

Re: auto start and re-sync DFAM and M32 to Subh

I think the KB + STEP + RUN/STOP is meant for the case when you haven't yet started an external clock but want the M32 to start as soon there there is an external clock signal so that the M32 pattern and external clock are in sync. If you just hit RUN/STOP before the external clock was started, then...

Re: auto start and re-sync DFAM and M32 to Subh

Starting them all together should be doable: if the CLOCK from the SubH into the Mother 32's TEMPO and the Mother 32 is set to the right sync mode then you should be able to hit the RUN button on the M32 and it won't start until it receives clock from the SH (i.e., when you hit play on the SH). Simi...

Re: Subharmonicon Sequencer Question

Your unit is not broken and sequencers 1 and 2 are tied to oscillators 1 and 2, respectively. What you are probably not understanding is that the sequencers only control the pitch of the oscillators they are tied to, not the trigger for the filter envelope. What you have to realize is that all the s...

Re: Subharmonicon question

Yes, the single filter and amp that is shared by all voices is triggered each time a step on either SEQ 1 or SEQ 2 is taken.

If you want to control when the envelopes are triggered, you can press the EG button so it switches off and then send a gate into TRIGGER when you want the envelopes to fire.

Re: New Matriarch Global Settings Editor

Can you try Chrome? I found it to be the simplest browser to set up for this. No plug ins required, it just pops up a prompt asking for access to your machine’s MIDI ports. Also, maybe check that the MIDI ports for your Matriarch have the word “Matriarch” in them. The editor currently assumes that. ...

Re: New Matriarch Global Settings Editor

Hi hudri,

No, I hadn't seen that. Looks great!

Being able to save settings is a really useful feature. And the parameter descriptions are nice too. I'm hoping to add similar things to the one I wrote when I next get a chance.

Regards,

Mark

New Matriarch Global Settings Editor

Hi everyone, Thanks to the new v1.2 firmware update that enables global setting editing over SysEx, I was able to build a simple Matriarch settings editor that runs in your browser using a JavaScript MIDI library. You can try it out here: https://mreid.github.io/matriarch-editor/index.html There are...

Re: sync M32 to DFAM

In the v2.0 firmware Mode 3 is Analog Clock mode. Prior to v2.0, Mode 3 was DIN sync mode. Check the v2.0 firmware PDF that came with the firmware download for details.

Re: Share your synthesizer music!

Hi all, I'm new to this forum but have been enjoying Moog synths since I got a Mother 32 about 5 years ago. Since then I've added a Matriarch, Subharmonicon, and DFAM and have really been enjoying playing the four of them together live. Here are a few tracks I've made with them recently. Patch detai...

Re: sync M32 to DFAM

Patch the TRIGGER out from the DFAM into the TEMPO in of the Mother 32. Set the Tempo Input mode to Mode 3 – Analog Clock (i.e., use Shift + Reset/Accent + Set End + 8, use arrows to go to page 3 of the settings, press 3). Hit Run on the DFAM and Run/Start on the Mother 32. The Mother 32 will be in ...

Re: Favorite way of connecting DFAM/Mother/SubH to Matriarch

Thanks for the link to my video! I’ve tried a few different ways of syncing the clocks of the 60hp trio with the Matriarch. In that video I’m using the M32 as the main clock and run its Assign out to the DFAM, SH, and Matriarch via a Qu-Bit splitter (it’s the weird black thing just to the right of t...
