Re: Tempco resistors old oscillator board
I wonder if the voltage sense lines are causing the noise. These lines often caused more problems than they solved and weren't necessary to the proper functioning of the synth, so Moog eventually connected the voltage and sense lines in the oscillator board. This can be seen in the service manual ...

Re: De-quantize the Subharmonicon SUBs and other wishes..
Sub oscillators aren't VCOs, and must be locked to another oscillator to function.

Re: Will a Model D 2022 reissue pitch wheel assembly work on Model D 2016 reissue?
I wish they'd publish the schematics. An instrument like this needs to be serviceable on the road. While some circuit boards are the same as their vintage counterparts, there are new analogue boards, including the two that now house the front panel controls, the switching-PSU-noise filter, and the ...

Re: Minimoog Reissue Power Supply - Cable and Pin Orientation
Be careful with this. On mine (which could have a pre-production board) it's
1 -15V
2 +15V
3 Ground 1
4 Ground 2
5 +5V
6 Probably something to do with ground lift.
I connected +5 to pin 4 and the cable wet up in smoke. It's my own fault for not checking.

Re: Is my Minitaur acting normally?
If you don't release the key, the envelopes will not be triggered when the next key is pressed. If you want the envelopes to trigger you must release all keys first. This is the default Moog behaviour.
You can change the trigger mode to "Legato Off" by sending the appropriate MIDI message. There is ...

The Labyrinth description sounds a bit like the Spectravox from Moogfest (that was never released).

Re: IF YOU COULD ONLY HAVE ONE MOOG SYNTH
I'd probably choose a System IIIp.
Other than that, I think the most beautiful sounding Moogs are the Mini and The Source.

I'm sure we'll have people claiming the first reissue sounds better.

Is the Mother 32 brighter sounding than the Grandmother?
I was wondering if the Mother 32 is brighter than the Grandmother. The Subharmonicon certainly is when the filter is fully open.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Has Moog indicated how many Moog One's will be produced?
Thomann ranks the Moog One 8 and 16 as numbers 40 and 42 respectively in their synth sales charts. The Subsequent 37 is at 37. That looks like very healthy sales figures to me, considering they are ahead of the Korg MS-20 Mini, for example.

Re: Best complement for Grandmother ?
I'm probably going to buy a Subharmonicon to supplement my Grandmother. I like the added oscillator options.
I love the simplicity of the Grandmother, and would probably prefer adding other modules to buying a Matriarch as a replacement. I like the idea of having various simpler units instead of ...

Re: Moog Model 10
I don't know if it's the 901 oscillators or simply the players I've heard, but there seems to be something extra special about the 10 and the III to my ears.
