Re: Moog Muse VS Moog ONE
A year ago you said: "There are no VSTi's that claim to reproduce analog sounds that I would actually use. Why would I?"
What made you change your mind?
Oh I'm late :) Well, Cherry Audio, just did an amazing job. But I kept my MoogOne, and now that 1.8.1 is out, I'm more than happy about my ...

Re: Stuck note on high velocity only
Sorry for you!
I suppose this to be a key-bed related rather than a firmware issue assuming you are running v1.8.1 (which you stated).
Before this update, I clearly would have blamed the firmware, but from what I experienced over the last week -since I did the update and thorough recalibration ...

Re: Progress update on Moog One firmware?
That ain't bad sales figures. At least I can continue guessing that they made no loss from the MoogOne. Though, I admit that no-one can know how much they paid for RMA, since I think that a lot of those units had serious issues.
Anyways, for the software: Yes Moog (my gosh, I don't want to write ...

Super cool, as always.
We (and even other preset SELLERS, who more than once copied your ideas!) can learn a lot!

Re: Progress update on Moog One firmware?
How many MoogOnes have been sold?
I think most owners would happily pay for a stable version 2.0. 2000 owners x 99 USD would raise 198.000 USD. Yeah, I know. But couldn't that pay the guy who knows how to do it? Or could we please have the source code and do it by ourselves with Claude/Copliot ...

Did you find a fix? 12dB seems to be a hardware issue, but who knows.
What did the internal calibration measure for the Main Outs? Are Subs and Main Outs identical?

If no more software development is planned, please make the source code open source or allow public access to GitHub. We could then iron out things on our own. Or at least try to do so.

Re: Moog Muse VS Moog ONE
I'm often close to selling my Moog One 16 because of the Cherry Audio MemoryMode VSTi. If only the latter would offer an SVF and a real modulation matrix, I would pull the trigger. Soundwise, the VSTi is exactly on par with the hardware Moog One.

Re: Headphone outputs sounds "better" than Main Output
The headphones outs sound far better than the main outs. It's the balanced transformers, the A/D -> D/A chain, the very weak headphone amp in the FireFace.
Look, using the headphones directly glues your ears to the oscillators. There's nothing else happening. Using the RME means a lot of additional ...

Source? I understand guessing from serials is not bullet proof neither, but without a source your claim is a little... weak

Moog One is now a Top Seller!
Can't believe my eyes, but according to the biggest European musicians shop ( Thomann, click for rank list ) the Moog One 16 is
on rank #9 of all 178 available synths
on rank #3 of all analogue synths
on rank #1 of all synths in the non-low-budget area.
Should motivate Moog for pushing ...

Re: Has Moog indicated how many Moog One's will be produced?
3000 units,. If our assumptions are valid, that is a fair amount and should cover the development and maintenance cost eventually. When I bought my MoogOne, a business insider that I will not name here estimated the development cost of the MoogOne was close to 5.000.000 USD, almost ruining Moog Inc ...

Re: Is the Moog One able to create sounds that Xfer Serum can’t?
VSTi's that emulate analog gear are simply boring. The Moog One is the opposite of being boring
Do you need it? Nobody can tell. Will you love it? Most probably yes.

Re: Final Analysis....
I want to add to @AlakaLazlo that using the Moog as controller in your studio will work just fine. He was mentioning the use as a central part of a MIDI studio , and yes, this is unfortunately not a good idea. The Moog One is still not really stable when it comes to MIDI input, especially on more ...

Re: MOOG ONE VS PTOPHET TEN AND OB8X
I own (nearly, as I got an early Waldorf Quantum) four of the synths in this comparison. And I think this chart is near to my experience. But I think the 3rd Wave got a special unique character, once you don't judge it as just a VA synth. And I like its filter character.
Hehe, I just didn't ...
