Re: Sub/Subsequent 37 DAW tempo Sync Cheat Sheet
My sync issues went away after I disconnected the USB MIDI. Now I just run clock from a Novation Launchpad and it's smooth.

Re: Does anyone make a black overlay for the Matriach?
Thanks for the link :) Although he says he's just using paper to cover the colored panels it's hard to tell. Of course the lighting is pretty poor so maybe up close it's not as impressive. Certainly the lettering looks a bit rushed. I've considered using a dimming film over the top - the stuff is us...

Re: Does anyone make a black overlay for the Matriach?
Yep. That’s what the one from the YouTube video did and then added some black tape over the blue stripe on the front. Link? I couldn't find it on a search. For anyone interested here's the link to the Gearslutz page with the pics: https://www.gearslutz.com/board/electronic-music-instruments-and-ele...

Re: Does anyone make a black overlay for the Matriach?
There's 10 'panels' on the Matriarch and six are already black. In theory you'd only need to cut the colored panels out and put in four replacement black stickers . . .

Re: Moog Grandmother Midi In - lights blinking, no sound
The latest Moog gear in general seems to have a lot of MIDI issues. Perhaps their MIDI team needs some new talent.

Re: Sub/Subsequent 37 DAW tempo Sync Cheat Sheet
The 37 is twitchy when it comes to sync. In fact I find the 37 just doesn't like receiving MIDI commands at all. I tend to get stuck notes and other glitches, but take the MIDI cable out and everything's fine. I've tweaked all the main options without any discernible effect. Meh. Other synths tend t...

Re: Learning to love my Sub 37
+1
Some great tones and textures there. Love the fat grittiness. The Sub37 does seem to take some time to get to know. I've had mine for a year or so and am only now getting to really understand its ways.

As well as a trigger in, patch from the trigger out to the Adv/Clock input.

Re: Sync MIDI clock from Sub37 to Mother-32. Please help!
I don't have a Mother-32 so can't specifically, only offer a few thoughts.... Generally I have much better success using DIN sync rather than USB. Also, have you tried setting the Mother32 to a different channel and send from that new channel on the Sub37? Have you tested MIDI input to the Mother on...

Re: Midi-Synced Delay
Matriarch doesn't like simultaneously receiving MIDI clock and analog clock. But if that's not your issue then have you tried filtering your MIDI input to clock only as an experiment? Also, just to state the obvious, have you swept your Matriarch rate knob all the way back?

Re: Question about display (protective plastic)
Mine was much more carefully sized to the display. It was so well stuck on and thick it took me about 6 months to summon the courage to peel it off!

Re: Grandmother Midi In from Ext Controller Issues
Have you tried looking at the MIDI data that's coming in? Most DAWs have plugins to examine the input. At least then you may be able to see when it gets stuck, or if it's too much miscellaneous MIDI data coming in you could filter some of it out.

Re: Matriarch sustain sliders very 'loose'?
Yes, it's weird isn't it? So light it feels like they'll just slide down by themselves. Yet they do seem to stick in place. I saw in another thread how the light action is supposed to mimic a DJ slider...
