I put a distortion pedal of a guitar between the Etherwave Theremin and the amplifier.

The change was interesting, very different to the distortion of the guitar sound.

It did not sound distorted but the distortion amplifier changed the sound characteristic.

what exactly do you mean with "pure sine wave"?

It is rather easy to get "almost" pure sine waves, however it is very difficult to get an exact one. How exact must it be?

Depending on the allowed tolerances, you can just use the filter built in in the theremin.

Does it change the pitch when you are moving?

Did you place it on the table or on any metallic surface? All metallic parts are a kind of condensor.

Metal tables, computers and other things may have influence.

Did you insert new batteries? In the right direction ...

If you have the same type as me, it is only necessary to remove the screws in the front and the back part of the top case (wooden covering).
