- ability to assign different destinations to the arp such as the filter.

eweise ... If you do a Factory Reset (or might be called Factory Restore, I don't quite remember) after the update, that will put the new presets into memory. They do get sent over with the firmware update, but don't appear automatically. Thanks narrowcaster. That worked. I listened to all the new ...

I also updated and it went flawlessly. Thanks a bunch. None of my presets changed though. Should it have put the stage II ones on? If not, is there a way I can put them on separately?

I'm not sure I understand the position of the TE owners. Synthesizers are subject to the same obsolescence as other technology driven products. When I plug some types of outputs from my LP, it causes the control pot lights to move around. I think it also affects the sound a bit. For example if I plug the LP directly into my amp, it's fine but if I plug the LP into a couple of effects and then into the amp, the lights dance and the sound is ...

Can this part be installed ourselves instead of sending the unit back to the factory?

I don't hear any noise in my SE but maybe I don't know what to listen for. Do they all have it or just some units?

They should really expand on the little phatty. Maybe add the same functionality as the voyager (3rd osc etc) but keep the LP interface. I think they went the wrong direction trying to make a cheaper voyager by getting rid of the midi and presets. I'm sure they could have come in under $2000 by putt...

I'm really hoping that arpegiator is just a software thing and that the current phatties can be upgraded to have it.

I think what makes the most sense if for Moog sell an expansion unit for the phatty since it would cost a lot less per voice than the voyager. If they could make say a 4 voice rack for $1000 it would be a big hit since you could get into the phatty for $1200 and then when you're hooked (like me) you...

Can anyone give me some suggestions on how to get a nice string sound out of my phatty? I've tried but can't seem to get anything that sounds close.

Pheewwww... solved. My mixer sent out a voltage of 1,2 V on the cable that was connected to the LP's output, for whatever reason. After checking all connections, re-seating the jacks etc. the voltage was gone and the LP functioned as normal again! :wink: I experienced the dancing led issue this wee...
