get the kenton pro solo imo it is the best midi to cv coverter on the market for mono synths.

i have been told the winecountry retrofit doesn't do filter cut off etc and that the kenton one does!

so for the wine country retrofit you still need a midi to cv converter,however the kenton kit does not allow for sysex data whereas the winecountry retrofit does.

does the kenton or wine country retrofits allow midi control of filter cutoff and res etc?

yes i also agree i thought even monophonics were complicated inside untill i opened up my pro one

so long as you have time no hardwired synth is too technical imo
