What do we lose here using this trick of putting a pedal jack, or simply a dummy plug/adapter into the GATE CV vs. using something like e.g. the Voyager's External/Keyboard switch? Just the old "use a pedal in a jack to keep it on Sustain" fix. The answers might be here in the older posts...

I've used an ancient M-Audio Oxygen 25 for years. I used the 25 because it was portable, but it only has 8 knobs, plus mod and pitch wheel. Also, they aren't endless rotary.
