Not sure if you want to drive a bit, but Sweetwater in Ft. Wayne, Indiana is my favorite place. It's not really a store, they mostly do catalog orders here , but you can make an appointment to stop in and check out whatever toys you want. I took my old minimoog up there to compare with a voyager bef...

Dang!! I thought I had it all figured out! What I'm looking for is a way to create a rising ramp waveform to use as an LFO like on the old Model D minimoog. Frank, can you help me figure out what I need to build? I know nothing about electronics (as you probably noticed), but I've built a few things...

Frank,

Thanks for the info!

It sounds like this might be more difficult than I was hoping for...
(since I really don't have any idea what I'm doing)
I'm going to keep looking for schematics that might work.
I'll post something here if I find anything that works!

^^^I meant the CP251... Anyway, I just can't justify spending the $ on the CP251 since the only part I really want is the voltage inverter. So I've decided to build my own voltage inverter. I'm not an electrical engineer, but I have experience building PAiA kits. I've found a couple of schematics o...

I can't decide if I want to get my performer edition converted to an anniversary edition. FreqOut, do you know for sure that Moog is going to offer the AE conversion again :?: I really hope they do!! I didn't realize they had stopped offering it, but now that I've looked through the website I can't...

3. Adjust the attenuator pot to different fo how many notes you want in a octive. As long as the scale you're going for has even temperament, this should work. If you're trying out a scale that uses meantone temperament, you will need to use some kind of software like "Scala", but you won...

I can't decide if I want to get my performer edition converted to an anniversary edition. The AE definately looks cool, but I worry about the backlight dimmer adding some hum to the output... I'm thinking that the AE versions will be worth more $ in the future (not like I'd ever sell my voyager), bu...

I use studio monitors to listen to all my synths... You can get decent powered monitors for about the same price as a good keyboard amp. Personally, I'm using the Resolv 65a monitors and the 120a subwoofer, both from Samson. They sound awesome and I got a great deal on them... I haven't been able to...

SirDSS, Has anyone ever told you that you're a jerk? Personally, I'm glad that Todd Barton told us about his Mars Musings CD is for sale. Do you know of any other MiniMoog Voyager CD? I didn't think so. This IS a MiniMoog Voyager forum. Todd's post was totally on topic, and it didn't sound like he w...

it would be pretty hard to play... Yeah, the keys are REALLY small and just like a toy. I got used to it, but I don't try to play anything really intricate on it... There are alot of drawbacks to the microkorg, but for me they're all outweighed by the price. I wouldn't want to use it as my only syn...

Chesty,
If you join the mmvoyager group on Yahoo (http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/mmvoyager/), you can download a Word file that is the only soundchart for the voayager that I've seen. It only has the front panel knobs, and no menu settings though, so I don't know if it will do you any good....

ebg31, Are you looking at analog only, or would you consider DSP? I have a microkorg that I just love to play with. Sometimes you can hear some of the digital artifacts when you really push the filters, but it's a powerful synth for such a cheap price. I don't mean to be an evangelist, but I think e...

I'm wondering if updating to 2.3 straight from 2.0 would be any problem.
The instructions that come with the update recommend updating from 2.1, but I'm still on 2.0. Should I install 2.1 first?
