VERY ODD Mother-32 and Grandmother clock/temp combo issue

I have a VERY odd issue with my Mother-32 and Grandmother that ONLY happens with each other... When I send clock from my Grandmother (via CLOCK OUT on back) to the Mother-32 (via TEMPO IN), the Mother-32's LED stutters and nothing happens with the sequence. BUT 1.) If I send any other device's tempo...

Would love to buy the Sound Studio Card Game

Like many others, I acquired the ecosystem individually over time. Now that they are sold as sets, I'd love Moog to make the card game ((and 2-tier dice box games) available, even if just as PDFs. Does anybody have an email or other comms channel that one could use to suggest this to Moog?

Is Moog Tech Support an Urban Myth?

It's been 2 months since I reached out to Moog support for help to determine if a problem I'm having (Mother-32 does not tempo-sync from Grandmother Clock Out but does from other devices) requires either my Mother-32 and/or Grandmother to be repaired... and RADIO SILENCE. Have sent numerous follow-u...

Re: Oddness syncing Mother-32 from Grandmother

I tried running the GM's clock out thru it's attenuator them melting that output to the M32 tempo in and an o-scope. M32 works fine when GM's clock output is +1v to ~ 3.4v, but stops registering when greater than ~+3.4v. Is the Grandmother's clock output edge slope not enough to trigger the M32's 1v...

Oddness syncing Mother-32 from Grandmother

Help! This is odd... am I missing something, do I have a setting throwing things off, or does one of my devices have a problem? If I send clock from my GM to my M32 (ARP/SEQ CV out to tempo in) the M32's Tempo LED blinks green 'once' and it just sits there doing nothing. If I clock into the M32 from...

Re: Global edit functions not working in Grandmother v1.1.3

It works now!? Here's what I did different. I ran an oscillator calibration (which by the way worked wonders for my tuning!) and figured I'd verify your question, if the FW actually installed, so I checked a different new feature introduced at the same time in 1.0.6 and that worked. So, I tried agai...

Re: Is it possible to modulate the rate of the arp in the Grandmother?

It does work, but don't use the attenuator, go directly from the modular wave out to the clock in. (Attenuating sets the signal from -signal max to 0 then up to signal max, so if the LFO output is +/- 5v, the attenuator will only send a rising edge greater than 2.5v if it is a quarter past center in...

Global edit functions not working in Grandmother v1.1.3

According to the manual, there are a pair of functions within the global edit mode that allow me to load factory settings and show firmware version. The indicator is the 3 LHC buttons blinking (varies depending on which function is selected). When I try, I get nothing. Neither of these functions see...

Re: Mother 32 clocking DFAM: inconsistent M32 clock output or is it the DFAM?

sorted: it's a bug in FW 2.x. Moog knows about it and is working on it.

Mother 32 clocking DFAM: inconsistent M32 clock output or is it the DFAM?

I am seeing inconsistent behavior when clocking a DFAM from a M32. 1) When sending clock out from my M32, the 1st step is received like a quick pulse and throws everything off, effectively, sending 2 clocks on the 1st step. This behavior seems to start after I change a pattern and reset. This doesn'...

Re: DFAM advances two step on first clock signal from Mother-32

I have the same problem... it only happens after changing sequences... it is OK when running the 1st sequence after boot up. If I change sequence then reset, I get that quick pulse on the 1st step.

I am on FW 2.0.1, but also saw this behavior on 2.0.

Sounds like your Delay Pattern Change setting ( pg 8 ) is off... turn it on maybe?

Mother 32: noise still audible with dummy cable patched in ext audio

I have a dummy/dead cable patched into the external audio jack and have the mix knob full right (to noise/ext). I assume the dummy cable breaks the normal and I should hear silence. With headphones on, I can hear noise triggered with the seq pattern. (With the VCA out to an oscilloscope, I can see v...
